When you cook spinach it disappears into what you are making. It's amazing how it cooks down. I eat it raw in salads, but I use it cooked with pasta dishes, and casseroles. Your daughter is SO cute. I love how she checks over all your food, and her wisdom was so cute about change. I love bok choy! It's great. The reason Aldi did not have sage was it had turned moldy in our Aldi. I got Rosemary and Parsley though.

You can grow San Marzano tomatos. I got my seeds a few years ago from Burpee but lots of places carry them.

My budget is around $75 per person per month for food, challenging but it happens. Sometimes a bit more if I use ibotta a lot. My budget including household stuff is around $90 per person per month; and that does include diapers.

My Italian sauce. I use 3 cans of whole peeled tomatoes but cans in New Zealand are small..so maybe 1 or 2 of those big cans you showed here..put it in a saucepan with heaps of grated garlic about 6 cloves..add a teaspoon of dried basil..a pinch of sugar and salt and pepper to taste. I use this 3 times a week with spaghetti or homemade meatballs or anything really. I think it's delicious. So easy and quick. I bring it to the boil..turn it off and leave it for 5 or 6 hours to infuse 😊😊😊😊😊 Oops forgot to mention...roughly cut up the tomatoes when in the pan. It makes a chunky sauce. Obviously if you prefer a smoother sauce cut the tomatoes to your consistency 😉🙄😜😀

Sounds like a tasty recipe!! Does it seem like the garlic flavor is strong? The recipe I’m looking at called for 7 cloves of garlic… seems like a lot

@@Thegrocerylady Maybe..I love garlic so I add a lot. Of course everything is to your taste. This recipe works for me. And I stay home the next day after eating it...Can't inflict garlic stink on everyone 🤣🤣🤣

Save those bottles of synergy, when I make kombucha I use those. When I make a gallon I usually use 8 of those bottles depending on how much fruit I use for the second fermentation

I love your channel! I watch the new ones coming out and I go back and watch your older videos too! I was watching a video a little while ago where you mentioned your kids' playdoh drying out quickly. I'm a 21 year veteran teacher and for the first time this year I found a way to keep it soft or to soften it if it's dried out a bit. First, you need an airtight container. Then moisten a paper towel and wrap the playdoh in the towel. Put it in the airtight container and leave it for a day or two. I was very skeptical, but it rejuvenated all of my classroom playdoh! It was like new and it saved me from throwing it away and buying new!

I’m Puerto Rican! Tostones is crispy and delicious. Mofongo you use make the first part of the tostones without the second frying. Smashed them with a little bit of olive with garlic.

I think it may have been Jordan Page who stated that and came up with a budging theory with plans and planners. I did take some of her tips and they were helpful but I find it hard to stick to just $100 per person per month for just the two of us. I try to stick to around a reasonable budget for us and go every week or two. I find that way I personally buy less. When I went for a month shop I would buy unnecessary items and stock up way too much. Now buying just for the week or two with a grocery store within walking distances I find that helps. We also get hello fresh and then we have our dinners for the week and then just have to think about lunches and breakfast.

I have been adding kombucha and sauerkraut to my diet because since I had cancer treatments 12 years ago, my poor gut health never recovered. I am not brave enough to make it myself, though! I also love spinach sauted with bacon. That bag will saute down to about a cup.

I’m sorry to hear you had cancer. How are you now? Have you noticed a difference when you eat the sauerkraut and drink kombucha? I have an amazing probiotic I take that helped me heal from gastroenteritis a few years ago.

Hi!! I make my own kombucha and it is delicious. You only need a scooby with activator liquid (I bought it on Amazon), black tea, water, sugar and a large container to ferment.

You know, I’ve been watching today’s blog and I have to share with you an observation. I hope you won’t be offended but the fact that you have no earrings on made a difference in your appearance. Your face always appears so long because the length of your earrings are always long. Today your face appears more oval! Maybe it’s just me.
