Lived in DC from 2004 until 2022. When RG3 first came to the skins it was such an exciting time in the city and probably the most exciting football season we got in that entire time. Glad RG3 is still out doing his thing.

Rob is one of the best guests to get. Way smarter than people realize, has tons of great stories from his days scoring touchdowns and winning super bowls, and he's just a fun guy to hear speak.

It’s impossible to list all of the things that Bill Belichick does better every other coach in the NFL. He gives his teams the best chance to win every game & won championships for 2 decades while drafting near the bottom every year because of winning so much. Belichick gets more wins out of a roster than any other coach could with that same roster.

RGIII, I've recently begun following you on Twitter. I wanted to check this out. The long form of Justin Fields answer seems to be about thinking rather than reacting. Chicago has done a terrible job of continuity, and sabotaged Cutler and Trubisky most recently with this lack of stability. What Fields is saying is it's not natural to him yet. That's how almost anyone learns. Study AND repetition make new learning more natural. His skill set and the OC's system take some time to blend. What Chicago Bears owners have not shown of late is patience. I recently read Kirk Herbstreit's book. He entered Centerville HS (of Dayton, OH) and started at QB all four years in a program that leveled the other teams in the Western Ohio league, under Coach Bob Gregg. The Elks won the WOL every year from 1975-86, and won 10 games most of those years. The team was very well conditioned, and ran RPO. Herbstreit eat, breathed and slept that offense. Then he got to Ohio State in John Cooper's first year. In 5 years at Ohio State, it took Kirk till his 5th year to rise to an opportunity to be the opening day starter. He had a very difficult time learning a completely different offense. This seems analogous to Justin Fields, a massively talented and great QB at OSU having to learn to do things that are completely foreign, and that "muscle memory" takes reps. I think you're dead on with Sean Payton. I don't know what happened to his rapport with players from the Saints to the Broncos, but he doesn't have their trust or loyalty, from the outside looking in.

If words bother you, you are the problem. You may be too sensitive. If a coach says something to a player, it’s almost always intentional to evoke a response. If the response is a sensitive emotional response by the player, that player is weak. Toughen up. Words can’t hurt, you control your emotions and reactions. Self reflect on what was said, pull the good, adjust where necessary, dismiss the garbage. But before dismissing the garbage, make sure you have no blind spots. Journal everything.

RG3 has a mind of a professor. Jay Gruden should be very ashamed of himself for talking down on you like that. Glad that punk ain’t in the NFL.
