I've had some friends who've been to the pen here in SA. I can legit tell you that the one bit of advice they shared is that you should not accept anything from anyone.
@shottashabazz6721
@shottashabazz6721 2 жыл бұрын
That’s one of the golden rules in prison. Never accept anything from anybody. If you do that’s a debt you owe and they are different ways they want you to pay that debt off. Some might want commissary to pay the debt off. Some might want drugs to pay the debt off. And then some want sexual favors and that decision is not up to you.

I almost went to prison at 19. Got 2 years but they suspended all but a month then paper. I was all of 120 lbs and looked like I was 14. Theres no way someone, some day, somewhere, wouldn't have tried me. I am not the person to fold up and do it. They sent me up for two weeks to the 23 lockdown reception thing and I learned the scariest thing about prison is not the being there but who I would have to become to live there. I'm so glad I got through that part of my life before I ruined it forever.

My Father did 35 years of a life sentence. My pops was a trustee. He was not to be played with in prison. I'm sure he killed or injured others to protect himself. One day we were visiting with him at Angola, an inmate offered to send food to our table. My pops said no and beat the crap out of him later. My pops is dead now from cancer. Prison traumatized him. He was changed , such an amazing man. He suffered a lot. I believe the trauma caused his cancer. RIP pops.

I did some time. I knew a guy who came in for check fraud. He was what you’d call a "pretty boy" . Anyway I heard some dudes standing in the corner talking about him and what they planned to do. Where I was at..you didn’t "warn" anyone or you’d have a problem. Two or 3 of these dudes went in on this guy in his cell… this kid killed two and threw one of the third tier. Come to find out he was a ufc fighter black belt type of dude. Point of this story is if you ever get caught up in that situation FIGHT! Never back down! "Death before Dishonor" .

All small framed men who aren't versed in martial arts should learn the pros and cons of prison life before ending up there. Being that many of our men have become setup or framed as with the movie: The Lockdown... My adult son was framed by his two COUSINS who were jealous and sabotaged his College career. So I know first-hand how low-down friends and even relatives can be. An enemy can't get up to you, it's the ones you'd least suspect who'll try to destroy you!

Ain’t nothing free in jail, not one thing, everything comes with a price.. even advice, or somebody helping you with your paperwork/case. Even if somebody get some folks off you from getting stomped out- that cost. This advice is true for the streets. I have never been to prison but in life you got to stay in your lane. case in point, one of my friends I hung out with in HS started hanging out with guys we both would of never hung with. We were white stoner kids and they were Latino gangster start ups. One day my friend and his new friends came to me in a park and wanted me to go with them to rob a well known old guy who liked young guys. I had just got a crispy bag of smoke and was stoned as Jones and said no. They said I was a pussy and I had to act like a man and rob this guy. I on the other hand had a job at...I hate to say Mc Donalds and made my own money, although not much HA! Cutting to the end they all got years in prison for armed robbery and conspiracy to commit murder or some shit like that, Stay in your lane, it may not be all that exciting but it will keep your cheeks safe:)

When I was down in 2015-16 in Arizona there was a dude that came down from a notorious yard here in Az called “Stick’em Steiner”. Steiner is a 3 yard,here in Arizona we don’t have 1 yards. We have 2-5 and then something called “The Walls” which is max custody and it’s in the oldest prison in the state. The movie with Richard Pryor where he and Willy Wonka go to prison was filmed at that prison. The yard I was on was a 2 yard,it was a DUI yard. I had just gotten to the yard from reception and I had probably been there a week. I was figuring things out like who in my dorm is running a store and just getting my bearings. The dude, I won’t mention his name but let’s just call him John, his rack was in the next row down from me and 2-3 spots south of my bunk. I noticed one day when I came back from the yard that “John “ had a he/she,we call them “Cheetos” here in the Arizona DOC,sitting next to his bunk on a chair watching TV and John was laying in his bottom bunk. This Cheeto was at reception when I was there and had gotten to the yard a few days before I did. When we were at reception a young dude seen this Cheeto that we will call Star and said “I didn’t know that this was a co-Ed prison “ A bunch of people heard him say that and we all started laughing and told that fool that it’s not a co-Ed prison and that’s a dude. Star looked like a straight up female. I seen John get up and open his lockbox that was under his bunk. The bunks had these drawers that slid out under the bed that you could lock. He grabbed some chips and a Milky Way and offered it to Star. I cracked a smile and kinda laughed because I couldn’t believe that I was actually witnessing this shit. This went on for about a week and a half and then I didn’t see Star anymore hanging out with John. I asked my bunk mate what was up,why Star wasn’t hanging out with John anymore and he said in such a nonchalant way “John caught Star cheating on him in another dorm and they broke up “ Just the way he said it I almost fell out of my bunk. This shit is for real in prison and it ain’t no joke. I guess when John found out he went and attacked Star by grabbing him/her by the throat and threatened to stab him/her. If for some unfortunate reason you are going to have to go and serve some time stay to yourself,don’t get involved in anyones business because it will become your business real quick and that’s not what you want. Keep your nose clean! Don’t rack up drug or gambling debts. That’s the number one reason that people get killed or seriously hurt in there. I would recommend that you don’t gamble but if you do make sure that you have the money to cover it. A lot of those card tables are rigged and people cheat constantly and if you are the new guy and you are young they are going to get your ass. Get a daily routine going like working out or reading or both and this will make your time fly by. Don’t get involved with gangs because it always ends all bad. Do you time and get your ass back home in one piece.

@@ALCRAN2010 LMFAO!!! I don’t know how the term started but it’s definitely used. The first time I heard it I asked someone who has a store in our dorm and they said “The Cheeto with the fake tits and long hair that’s in bunk 51”. I was thinking to myself wtf is a Cheeto and I found out pretty quickly. I seen one of them fuck this dude up in the bathroom pretty bad. I didn’t know what it was about,but he obviously disrespected him/her,plus it was none of my business so I never asked. I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom and they were going at it in the shower stall. Someone was standing by the door to our dorm watching out for the bitch ass CO’s and the Cheeto tuned that dude up. I have a lot of crazy/funny stories from being in there. Everyday in there there’s some sort of drama going on. But honestly the Cheetos were cool! They never fucked with anyone unless you did something to disrespect them. I don’t know if you know about prison politics but respect is a big thing in there. All you have in there is your balls and your word. If you make a deal with someone be it storing out some food or whatever it might be,you better pay it back otherwise it’s going to be a major problem. Say that you store something out from a different race and you don’t pay it back. That race isn’t going to do anything to you. Your own race is going to handle that. Usually your race will pay your debt to them and they are going to take it out on you. That’s the number one reason that people get killed or seriously hurt in prison. It’s usually a drug debt and/or that you disrespected someone. Nothing is going to happen if you can’t pay your debt the next week when it’s store day because sometimes your money doesn’t hit on time but after about a month and you made no attempt to pay it back it’s going to be a bad day for you. That’s why so many people “check in” to PC(protective custody) and get shipped to a different yard because they were never going to pay them back from jump street. But that shit follows you no matter where you go. Eventually you are going to pay for it one way or another. Someone will get transferred to that yard and say “hey this piece of shit checked in over a debt on the yard I just came from “ and it’s a wrap. I seen a dude get smoked in the lunch line because he owed $200 for dope and was trying to dodge the people he owed. You ain’t dodging shit in prison.

There was a young geezer in Winchester who agreed to let a known arse bandit have a taste of his Junie cakes for some tobacco. He pulled out at the last minute so they snatched him into a cell and did it anyway. When I was in Swansea a couple of years later it turned out that the kitchen dorm were taking turns with some hapless soul. He had to have his arse stitched up. So the message is, if you arnt the kind of person who can look after himself (ie., by inflicting instant and extreme violence) don’t end up in prison 😄😄

He happened to be gay on the outside before he went to the prison and I guess they sensed that and assumed he'd be cool with getting gang raped since he was legit gay. He later went on to pass legislation and create a program for all new inmates to get basic warnings about what to expect in prison etc. He is the bravest person I've ever come across.

I know that this is true. I was involved in prison ministry for 12 years! Most of the men who commit these sexual atrocities don't consider themselves homosexual. It's just a prison thing they say. Well if you're punking another man, for what ever reason, then you are homosexual. Some of the prisoners have committed suicide or attempted suicide because of rape! I know of men personally who will tell you that they're now homosexual because they were raped in county jail or prison! A great amount of this behavior ceased when we entered the prison ministry, because we did not shrink back from the Truth! Several homosexuals attended and received God's love and healing. The altars were flooded weekly with true repentant hearts! TRUE REPENTANT HEARTS! If you're involved in prison ministry, preach TRUTH. Most of the guards and administration don't care about what's happening in there. But, God does! "Lord, when did we see you in prison and go visit You?" And the Lord answered, "What you do for the least of these brothers of Mine, you've done for Me!" Matthew 25:31 I believe that we're getting ready to witness an explosion of signs wonders and miracles happening in prisons worldwide in these coming months!

That doesn't mean you're gay at all! Do some research as there are plenty of men who consider themselves str8 on the outside but not on the inside. There is actual research on this topic and other's posted about homosexuality in men in general who consider themselves str8. Clearly you didn't see as much as you think you saw. Especially if you're a women in a male prison! Sexuality is on a spectrum. I don't know how many times simpletons & those who who can't look past the top layer of a subject need to be told this. There is nuance in every issue and sugject and calling someone gay because they had one gay experience in the outside world or a gay relationship in prison as there are no women around, shows a giant amount of arrogance & ignorance of what really goes on in the minds of anyone at anytime. Painting everyone with the same brush is the definition of ignorance.

This story of just this one event is something that must come out into the public. Thank you. It is deplorable that troubled young men end up in prison only to be psychologically and physically and sexually abused. Left powerless and alone. I am a female and already know what happens to women whom end up incarcerated; the same exact thing, only worse. Never been to prison/jail and don't plan on going.

Dude, you don't have to say if you got turned out or not, but in your experience looking back, do you think it was a control thing, where a older bigger inmate wants control over someone younger because he has no control in prison, or was it strictly a sexual thing because either there are no women or he was gay?
@deathbywesker6780
@deathbywesker6780 2 жыл бұрын
@@HamiltonRb good question. First off I did not get turned out doesn't mean it could have happened but it didn't. Second of all I would say both at first i'd say it's a control factor but after a while it's definitely sexual. but having power over somebody is a big thing .

@@deathbywesker6780 Having never been a guest of the government, it got me thinking when buddy said the kid had his hand in the guy’s back pocket walking around. That sounds like a control thing but like you said inevitably it ends up being sexual, which is horrible if the kid is straight

Sometimes the trustees will ask someone to get you a soup and some soap if your new in Jail. But honey buns snickers and other gifts on the bed mean something else. If someone's being overly nice out of nowhere it's because they want something.

Man this right here was good.... My partner told me though it's all about how you carry yourself and he said it depends on what institution you go to.... But he said in some form of fashion you will be tried up it may not be tried up for you to be a punk but it might be tried up for something else .. you failing that aspect and then it can lead on to someone trying you up as a punk... All about how you carry yourself those guys that come in there talking all that Street gangster mess talking about what they did on the street don't mean nothing... A lot of the times the people they were on the street with will be the ones trying to turn them out the rules change what goes on in the street and what goes on on the inside... Like my man said leave all that street mess alone ain't no 401K plan in the street game
