When switching between 30 and 10, are you unscrewing the blades and screwing them back? Or are they interchangeable without screws? I’m curious as to how you switch from one to the other.

The blades snap off and on.

For the second body clip in the video, which blade and comb are you using? It looks like you don’t change blades and comb for different body parts on Dusty the way you did in the first clip earlier in the video. Thanks

Andis Clip Combs, I use a 4 on his back, then blend into a C on the legs. I clipped out parts of the video so you may not have seen the change.

Why aren’t you using stainless steel comb attachments? Those work way better when grooming my Wheaten especially when his hair is long!
@groomerkt18393 жыл бұрын
I have had stainless steel combs in the past but they tend to not last for me. And they've gotten pricey to not last.

Great video, what brush are you using? 🐾🐾
@groomerkt18393 жыл бұрын
Thank You! The Brush is an AtEase Bamboo Slicker, I love it. The pins are coated and it's so much easier on the dog.

Doesn't look like a Wheaten Terrier. Didn't look like one at the beginning; nor at the end either. I guess, everyone can trim their wheaten the way want. But cutting off the Fau over the eyes, and the abomination done to the tail, is going a bit too far. It is a sin. When people don't like how a Wheaten Terrier should look, they should not own one.
@markbowman7891 Жыл бұрын
Boy oh boy do I agree with this comment. Although my first Wheaten was not a show dog, I always maintained the Wheaten look. Now I've got a retired Champion and although I'm not as good as the handler I've paid top groomers for lessons. You're so right on, why get a Wheaten if you're going to take the fau and beard. And why clip them short for summer when the coat is designed to keep them cool. Oh well.....

Purely your opinion on fashion . This dog looks great. The Fau over the eyes is something done purely for humans vanity. Letting the dogs see clearly is an act of caring for the animal. Also, look at pictures of the Wheatons who were the original Irish farm dog. None of Fau fashion there! So keep to yourself your opinion on who should and should not own one!
@rupchand21778 ай бұрын
@@benj8682 You are so wrong here. Having a Fau is the natural state of the dog breed. Cutting it off is artificial. Besides, the Fau does not prevent the dog from seeing clearly. That is because the eye area is always cleared of Fau hair. You should learn a bit about the grooming of a Wheaten before you make stupid comments. Also, original Irish farm dogs which are Wheatens all have hair that is not trimmed. They are left n the natural state, because they are not groomed like home pets are.
@rupchand21778 ай бұрын
@@markbowman7891 You are right about clipping the hair very short in summer. Wheatens do not have skin pigment (not sure about other breeds), and very short hair in summer can cause serious sun burn if they are exposed to sun for lengthy period.
