I feel embarrassed forgetting the band members names. When i get put on the spot my brain turns to mush and i will forget things i have heard hundreds of times. I'm surprised i don't forget my own name sometimes. lol

Pete wanted to have cellos in the song but was denied, so at the part where he wanted the cellos, the band sings "cello, cello, cello, cello"

"The Rolling stones rock n roll circus"filmed in 1968 for the BBC. The who were fresh from a world tour so we're on there A game, the Stones had hadn't performed live together for over a year so we're sub par and in the end weren't happy with there performance so didn't release the film until 1996.

The Who performing "Young Man Blues" at the Isle of Wight in 1970 is The Who at their peak. It's an absolute masterpiece of a live performance!

It's actually not sweat. Keith poured water on top of his snares. It's an old drummer's trick.

An iconic band to say the least. One of the world's greatest drummers, one of the world's greatest bass players, at one time the loudest band ever recorded, first band to introduce the rock opera, first band to fully utilize synthesizers (Baba O'Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again, Who are You) Pete's "Windmill" action on the guitar, Roger's swinging the microphone over the heads of the other band member's and catching it just in time to belt out another line in the song. Seriously, top 3 if not the best all time rock band ever. You will never see another band like this, lucky I saw them years ago before the great bass player John Entwistle passed on......

It's interesting to note that The Who's performance was so strong, they got the Stones to release their performance for The Who's retrospective rock film The Kids Are Alright in 1979. Up until the Stones finally released the show in the 2010's (I think) the Who's footage was the only thing you could see from the aborted Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus. The Who blew the top off the roof, and to this day that performance is heading out into deep space where it will eventually scare alien life millions of light years away and ban their people from ever landing to give us a book to serve humanity. It's the Who that are protecting us from alien invasion just because of this performance. So take the advice my great granddad gave me, he said, someday you may sit on your balls, and if you sit too fast you may have to go to the hospital. Words to live by. All rights reserved, void where prohibited, batteries not included, some assembly required, add water makes it's own gravy.

This is an epic performance of a great song. The Stones were great, but few bands in history can match The Who of this era. Keith Moon is the reason I picked up the drums over 40 years ago.

The lack of understanding and appreciation for The Who by gentleman on the left was painful to watch. The Who is the band by which all other rock bands are judged. Untouchable in their heyday.

To be honest, it doesn’t take much to blow The Rolling Stones out of the water. They’re proof of how incredibly successful, by being absolutely mediocre. Mediocre refers to the Stones, of course.

If you bring the music volume up to the proper level, then your voices are way too loud. Ruins a great reaction
