Grossest and dirtiest hotel rooms over the last 6 months inspecting Las Vegas rooms I book third party, anonymously. This is my series where I book a standard room at every hotel in Vegas and show you everything you need to know. I’m inspecting mattresses, cleanliness, looking for bed bugs, testing water pressure and smells. No influencer trickery or arranged visits, this is a look at what you can expect at each resort. The worst three include OYO, Rio and The D Downtown. Should we be insisting that cleaners employ UV lights to identify areas for spot cleaning? For hotel rooms, I say "most definitely"

As nice as that would be, cleaning staff are already given both inadequate wages and respect, so, can we expect these resort-casino-hotel hybrid monstrosities, in the center for Capitalistic orgies, to fairly compensate their employees for the extra work? I doubt it, but, not only that, I’m certain they’d want to pass that cost on to the customer. The game is maximizing profits while minimizing expenditures. Besides, at least some of the people booking these rooms are the ones making these messes, so clearly not everyone is so picky. Not saying you shouldn’t be, however. Hey, everything is over-priced, people are greedy little weasels and we’re slowly turning the world into the hell we belong in. Or at least that’s the view from Vegas.

The older I get, the less I enjoy staying away from home. Gross hotel rooms are the biggest reason. I don't care how old the lamps or tables are but I can't stand the thought of a dirty room.

For what we pay for accommodation should have a clean room what ever the cost is what a farce disgusting.

The fact that the oyo use to be the Hooters resort.. made me never want to visit.. 😅 I genuinely hate hooters restaurants, so why would I like their hotels? Though I noticed OYO now owns a lot of run-down hotels in other cities.. they got one in New york and a dozen terrible motels in San Antonio The company seems to be gaining a collection of terrible things

We stayed at the D for a convention, it was bad, dirty as shown, there were also hair and our room had pillow cases that had never been washed or even dusted in their existence. They were covered in GREASE, like mixture of human and hair product greases, and when we put them on a table they left a trail of it. oh yeah, there was an ice bucket with tongs that had peanut butter smeared on both, even the bag for ice - so they don’t clean these rooms. They just don’t.

I stayed at the Rio - granted some areas look run down but our renovated room was clean. The food hall had amazing food too. The Chinese restaurant was great!
