The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria . Drive up to the base of the mountain and you literally feel the size and power of these majestic peaks, the massive glaciers and the elemental force of nature. . Stop at one of the multiple lookout-points to take pictures of this unique world of blossoming alpine meadows, fragrant mountain forests, massive cliffs and glaciers .

Zell Am See is a small town surrounded with a pretty alpine lake .
Zell am See is a beautiful little Austrian treat. It’s quiet, and a bit out of the way, but If you’re looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful spot Zell am See is perfect.

Hie. Your video inspires me to do a driving tour up the Grossglockner Road. I have already booked my stay at Zell am See for 3 nights in July. Please advise whether it’s possible to hire a vehicle and drive oneself and whether you need an international driving license and what costs would it entail.

Manohar bhat I am glad you like my video .Grossglockner by public transport is difficult but sometimes bus do run which you can check at the tourist information center in zell am see . Hallstatt you can reach by public transport ... You can take a bus from Salzburg and route is scenic so it’s a good option .Konigssee is also possible by public transport .. there is a bus running from Salzburg .
