the little crabs seem to respawn. you may be able to use spears or fishing spears to make a cage to hold barrels and one for holding a tire to bring back. also get your shaded roof on the raft so you don't back enroute to other islands.

Perhaps you could use the little wood platform hut for a storage and crafting shed maybe? Would keep things tidy and organized and maybe you could plant stuff on the beach area?

One build that isn't too spendy for islands with tall rocks is an egg elevator. you need a foundation, a wall, and enough roof centers to get yourself up the cliff.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it in a previous episode but for a raft to steer straight you need even drag on either side of the rudder, in other words if your raft is 2 deep and 5 wide, you put the rudder in the third pannel, if you put the rudder anywhere else, the raft will turn towards the opposite end of the raft. In your case you have a raft (at the start of this video when I am posting this) your raft is at the widest point 6 pannels meaning there is no center point where you have an even number of tiles wide on either side that you can put the rudder and because you have 2 tiles wide on the right with 3 on the left your raft naturally turns to the left. ps. 3:40 that is not a lemon shark, it is a white tip reef shark

Doesn't building so close over the ocean cause issues during storms? Back up on the grassy hill would be my choice.

I'm glad you're not going to use all brick. I think that looks so bland. it would be alright for a small work shed where you put all your brick making and forging equipment, but not your house.
