Especially seeing that old woman in the video. All I have is a mother now, I'm glad I have her in my life but at the same time I wished I still had my grandmother too. Had a stroke on the February 8th and passed on the 10th and I was there when she had it. Cooking us something to eat and she went and took a nap, all of a sudden 2 1/2 hours passed she starts yelling out for people who ain't here no more. She was just breathing hard and drooling and I called the ambulance and made sure she ain't fell off the bed just keeping her balance til they came...Worst day of my life, and I made a big pot of chicken pasta salad with no one to eat it but me. I was glad for these last few years I grew close to her, 26 years just ain't felt enough but it is what it is...#RIPGRANDMA #GROUPHOME #REALHIPHOP

My grandmother helped raise me, man and I remember the days of growing up in BK living in Brownsville and walking with my grandma down Stone Avenue to Royal Farms to get some groceries and me trying to push the shopping cart when we'd get there or when we would walk to the stink ass fish market on Belmont (Slavin's ) and get fish for dinner. This video on that part made me think so much about those days. Plus your words about your grandmother made me reflect and it touched my heart because mine has been gone for 16 years. Lost her on Sept. 18, 2003. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her. I was fortunate and blessed for her to see me grow into a manhood. I know a lot of people who never got that chance. Sounds like and I were the lucky ones.

AS a long time fan of 90's hip hop, it's almost shameful how long I slept on Group Home and Livin' Proof. This album reaches Illmatic levels of storytelling, which is what I love about 90's East Coast Hip Hop. Can't believe it. So good. Also didn't realize this was fucking PREMIER on this joint. He literally never misses.
