It’s been 6 months since we dropped THIS IS THIS. To celebrate we released this alternate one-take video for deadline. We almost released this as our official video- with no editing you really get to watch the performance unfold in a natural and organic way. Big shout out to Issac Deitz for directing and having us do this one last take of the day when we thought we were wrapped. The magic always seems to happen when you least expect it. at first I was like eh, i like the beat. Then like 90 seconds into it I realized this is going to be one of those songs that gets stuck in your head. Always such good hooks.

the guitar solo made me flyyyyy, the decorations, the love, the LAUGH at the end :,) this is amazing i watched this as the sun is setting and the rain is falling on a nice spring day in kansas. such a unique energy overall i would love to make a music video with you one day

I think Grouplove has a lot of songs they don't get enough attention on, but this is by far my favorite song from y'all ever. Its so danceable, heartfelt, and a bit snotty punk. I keep trying to turn people onto it and oh god does my goddaughter (6 yrs) love jumping and shouting along with it. In her honor I ask that we make it the new baby shark.

I like how the lyrics at one point talk about how they’re trying to go back to where they began, as they become colder and colder and less of who they were, so they can find themselves again It makes sense why you see the transformation of how they look and what they looked like in the music video

Grouplove is on such a hot streak since the early 2010s (Tongue Tied, Traumatized, etc) and show NO signs of letting up. Which is a great thing because it's hard to find anyone else doing anything original, and this song is a prime example of what it means to be "alternative" or "indie", but in no need of a label at the same time; just doing whatever comes to mind regardless of chart success. I wish more bands would live by the same philosophy. Deadline is so unique that you can't get it out of your brain for days on end. 😆😎🤟
