I am from India, i remember me and my younger brothers and sisters playing around these trees, coconut trees taught us how to climb and guava trees and pomegranate trees( they are riddled with caterpillars, sucking the sap of the tree) we used to collect them in hundreds and eat it.leave the rest to our turtles in our family well. Good times were they! :)

The joy of having your own fruit garden is really a rewarding thing. I happened to have a big backyard with plenty of fruit trees....I have apples...pears....peaches ...blackberries...grapes....gooseberries....red currants...walnuts and prunes (yellow, red and purple in colors). Summer is truly an awaited time of the year for me, because of the harvest season...and of course with plenty of vegetables as well. I love to garden so much.

I planted two Pakistan Mulberry trees this Spring in Moreland, Arkansas. One is a white fruit and the other is purple. In the last two years, I covered my front and side yard with 4-5 inches of wood chips, thanks to my neighbors who own a tree trimming business and supplied me with several loads of chips. I moved hundreds of loads with a wheelbarrow and pitchfork. I have a 10 feet tall banana tree, 2 fig bushes, thorn less blackberry bushes, 2 Pakistan Mulberry trees, 1 Oriental Pear tree, 2 different varieties of purple Muscadine vines, 1 Seedless Concord Grape plant, plus I grow Giant Mongolian Sunflower plants that get 8-9 feet tall, Israel Melon which are listed as one of the most fragrant and best tasting melons in the world, 4 Sun Chokes planted this year and Tatume Vining Squash picked goose egg size and eaten as a summer squash. I have one vine that's over 35 feet long and still growing and producing! Soon, I'll plant my Purple Top Turnips and Collard Greens for my Fall and Winter crop. I share seeds, cuttings and rooting's with my neighbors and friends, because I want them to all have something to eat if times get bad. Blessings from my neck of the woods.

Imagine how the planet can be restored with people creating their small ecosystems. The rainforest could be revitalized, climate issues could be mitigated Plus....its amazing food. Seems a no brainer to me and people like this wonderful man is a true inspiration. Thanks for Sharing.
