I'm loving your approach to maple development. I wasted so many years keeping them in small pots and I have finally got myself around to putting them back out into bigger pond baskets to develop decent trunk and root growth. Better late than never. Keep up the great work on these Maples :)

thanks, brother. it's been a lot of fun incorporating different techniques to try and fight some of my pet peeves in the bonsai I'm developing; like you mentioned, slow trunk growth and ugly nebari. i just hope someone will get a cool idea to try from checking out my bs 😁

All the cutting grown material, is it to bulk up your plant count? Have u ever considered maybe selling some on EBay?? I bet u would get some people get into a “bidding war” over the cuttings……… just a thought…….. I would definitely be interested! Keep up the solid videos, bro!

this cultivar just loves my zone 8a climate. it reminds it of home 😁 plus I feed a lot because my trees don't need to be reined in so to speak.
