i am growing my hair for a year. what i did for awkward stage was wearing beanies, but short ones that my ear wont heat up. use bandanas maybe. i found not cutting your hair till the desired length better as it will take sht loads of time if you keep trimming it. Dont cuuuuuut iiiiit! You will love your hair right at the end of awkward stage ;)

If everyone had their hair trimmed as often as their hair dresser advised we'd all be bald. The part of shampooing hair that has the most beneficial effect on exfoliation etc. is when you massage the shampoo into your scalp which you can do without shampoo. I strongly urge the use of a quality baby shampoo. I shampoo every other day. I began growing my hair out around 1964, my mom fell in love with the Beatles and so I became her miniature Beatle for a few years. Most of my life my hair has been knee length though for a while in high school it was long enough to trip over. Since early childhood the only time it was short was when I was in chemo. It is now back down to almost knee length again. My hair routine is brush every other day, shampoo every other day. Twice a week or so add coconut oil. I've never colored or bleached it or processed it in any way. I get scalp massages as often as possible. I eat a lot of fish and food that is high in vitamins such as E, D, A, B(*) and others that promote hair growth and as a side affect also promote nail growth. Jello, surprisingly, has a positive affect. Eat lots of protein. Protein from fish is better than protein from pig or cow.

Hi, so I've been growing my hair out for about 10 months and started from a nearly shaved head (maybe half an inch all around my head) and was just wondering if it'll look awkward once it gets to the length where it is considered long hair? My reason for asking is because every youtuber I've seen that's grown their hair out started off from an undercut or their top was longer than the sides of their hair.

Great video very helpful. My hair is medium/long and I can only just tie it all back in to a bun. But I get loads of fly away on the sides of my head when I do that and it makes my head look like a goldfish. I gel the sides back but throughout the day it pings back outwards. So basically how do I get rid of flyaway?

I'm in the process of growing out the long bit of my undercut and I'm perpetually annoyed by this phase. It's way too long for a proper undercut look but short enough it's curling and giving me a 50's housewife look every morning. I totally regret the buzzcut i did 2.5 months ago ( one of the stupiest decisions of my life ) and that type of video helps me to go thru that awkward stage, it gives moral support :) I think i'll start trimming a bit the sides regularly in 1.5 month. I hope it will look okay at least by 2022

But yeah colors do not damaged your hair that much anymore like not at all almost at least it does not have a huge impact on your hair growth. ❤️
