Quinoa is pretty easy to grow and produces one of the healthiest foods you can add to your diet. Bonus: it's beautiful in the garden!

It doesn't sound challenging to grow, it just seems like a very low yield crop. Then I looked it up, and it yields 3,000lbs per acre. That's awesome. I just bought 500lbs for long-term storage not realizing how cheap it would be to grow my own.

I decided to sprout some old quinoa I had for cooking which was years out of date, the seeds all sprouted and rather than eat them I decided to grow them outside ... they were amazing and grew really well then some shed seeds have seeded themselves so this year I haven’t needed to plant any seedlings. I’ve noticed an ancient potato bed from the last owners of the land has some potatoes pushing through this years quinoa seedlings but they should grow together okay. Hope you had a good crop last year too! All the best from Scotland

It's a psuedograin. Grains are grasses. I just learned that quinoa is a cousin to lambsquarters. If it'll grow like lambsquarters then heck yea.
