Great Show. As a Fox Fan, Melissa was one of the reasons I watched both Fox Business as well as Outnumbered. I'm so so disappointed she was treated this way and can only imagine how shocked she was. I hope she receives the justice she deserves and this is a wake up call for Fox to better. As a fan, I'm proud she did what she did. It confirms she is the same person on air as off-Awesome and fiercely authentic!

Imagine being in the military in the 70’s - no HR, very few female officers (outside of medical), it was hell! To pass along what my mother taught me “know your worth, never quit and always stand your ground”! We must continue to teach and lift our young ones up - their value is our tomorrow!!

This conversation just took me to another level about any television news media. I loved watching both of you, ladies, and appreciate (so much) your honesty about news and updated information. I'm not in the news media world but also experienced something very similar back in the 1980's as a young lady going out into the 'job world' and having a real eye opener about the way an office works run by men. I'm so glad you are both standing strong! Keep up the great work that you do.

To me, it would be refreshing to be spoken to as bluntly as Diane Brandy spoke to Melissa. You don't have to like it, but clarity is more important than agreement as Dennis Prager always says. Melissa Francis was always a smart, insightful and likeable personality at FNC. Obviously, we're all replaceable, but it's pretty obvious to me after having watched her for many years that she is a very high quality person who is far harder to replace than most, and was likely fired unjustifiably.

I too loved my job. Felt grateful for all the opportunities. HR is not your friend. They are there to protect the company. It took me 8 years to prove they discriminated and retaliated against me. Firing me after I went to EEOC to report discrimination. Then offered me thousands of dollars when they fired me but couldn’t claim it unless I cancelled the EEOC report. The worst part is it ruins your career and your confidence getting new work. Johnson v. Southwest Research Institute.

I too experienced similar actions like Melissa, and yourself. My job wasn't the best, but the company paid for insurance, and a 401k. Along with Melissa, I did some research thru the internet, and investment papers in about a six month period. I discovered that for the skills that were required for my I T position, and it was a fairly cerebral job, the salary did not match the position. The person that worked the other shift filed a lawsuit against the company with the human rights commission of the state. I was also sexually harassed, and left after accruing one month's vacation. Sadly the person that harassed me had the resources to keep me from obtaining other gainful employment. I got the "Monica Lewinsky" treatment. Apparently most people have the same experience.

Great show - great conversation. I used to work for a broadcast station - but in the offices. I was let go in a pretty cold handed way and I feel without merit other than my age. Some others were let go as well and it was called a reorganization. Since my job brought in a lot of revenue, I was really just stunned and then had to question - to myself - why me and not someone more junior. After this reorganization - new positions were created at a much higher level with more money but basically doing the same job. So none of it made sense other than to speculate it could have been a case of age discrimination. I never followed up on it and its been 4 years ago now - but it has haunted me since then.

Melissa didn't talk about her on-air incident where she cut Newt Gingrich off and said something weird roughly supporting George Soros that day (Outnumbered). The next day, Harris Faulkner gave a vague apology on-air. It was puzzling, but soon after, Melissa disappeared. They could have been upset with her about that, and the fact that she is a little weak on-air. As good as she is, Melissa could be replaced with better. And she was.
@bmariechristine848

That was a weird interview; the silence of the entire group, including Melissa and Harris, when Gingrich (correctly) alluded to Soros' support of leftist violence. They looked like deer in the headlights. I lost a lot of respect at that point, but I still think Melissa was the most competent and fearless on-air talent and Harris is first rate as a host. I only watch the Faulkner Focus now. But it was something I had to see for myself to see the cowardice of Fox.

@@bmariechristine848 True. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eNhngduemNSXg2g.html has the Fox News Melissa clip (sorry it's Bill O'Reilly commenting on it if you hate Bill, but for all his flaws, he is insightful here...). I guess Melissa was trying to keep Fox from being nuisance-lawsuit sued by Soros's endless money lawyers. She has NEVER come clean on this incident. Mystery, which, to me, indicates Melissa is dishonest at best. Fox could simply say "That's why she was fired.", and maybe bring up her lack of a quick wit or some other performance issue on-air.

Retaliation is an epidemic in corporations. I experienced it myself after bringing to light the harassment, hostility and targeting of specific staff members by supervisors/managers at a very well known package delivery company. I witnessed work colleagues being sworn at, yelled at, lied about, belittled and scorned along with several of my other colleagues. Several staff members from the same office (different shifts) reported the incidents (multiple incidents with audio recordings) on a regular basis and this well known package delivery company's HR dept ignored the reporting and the audio recordings and targeted the staffers reporting the illegal activity while protecting the supervisors/managers who 'broke' company 'policies' (in regard to harassment/hostility/retaliation) not to mention the law. It was unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. The corruption is unreal. AND women in 'leadership' roles - within this well known package delivery company - were the worst offenders; from management, HR and supervisory roles.

That is so true at time stamp 20:28. My mother was a sociopath. She was so cruel. Same with the money too. My 2nd and 3rd husbands were sociopaths. I was 14 when I met my 1st husband; he was 19. My 4th husband had been raped by a Catholic priest for 7 years as a child. I was broken, and every man I've been with was broken.

With that said, I was always impressed with her intelligence and her ability to articulate her point of view and interview people on her show, etc. in a way that was not boring and fake. I'm glad I clicked and started listening to her on her social media platform such as this. So informative! They say narcissists are made, not born. We still don't know what really causes narcissusts, psychopaths or sociopaths. But it is not uncommon for narcississts to raise a child who is highly empathetic. You grow up that way trying to keep peace in the family. There is a fine line between narcissism & sociopathy.

I started following MK on IG, and she's really interesting to listen too. Loved her podcast on Meghan Markle- her comments are too funny but true!! On another note, I know of a few that moved to West Hollywood to pursue a career in the film industry, but there seems to be little support for new entertainers in LA. Seems like family is the main support-both financially and mentally- to help the individual. Not everyone has family that can do this. Wondering what other options are out there to help support individuals pursuing the industry.. rents are high in Hollywood but another huge expense can be auto insurance rates which triples in West LA area (Insurance companies say rates are high due to location) compared to other states. A reliable car is must for those in film industry -with auditions. So glad for Melissa who seemed to be stronger after going through her experience. Very inspiring!
