Growing Zucchini Time Lapse - Seed To Fruit in 78 Days

Back again after a 3 week growing break! And this time with a magnificent zucchini seed to fruit video.
Everything went quite well with this one although again it would have done better with a bigger pot. But bigger pots take up more space and its getting a bit crowdy in the studio :)
The plant struggled a bit at the end when it started to produce zucchinis but it started to do better when i gave it some more fertilizer.
This variety of zucchini doesn't need to be pollinated to produce fruits. So basically all the male flowers were useless. They didn't even bloom properly, i wonder if that's normal with self fertile zucchini plants or was it because of the 24h light?

This timelapse Video is only 2:26 minutes But it tooks more than 70days to Complete. This required Patience and hardwork for editing . So, I appreciate this type of video.👍

These videos are incredibly useful as there's often not much information on identifying plants when they're just sprouting. I would appreciate seeing videos of plants from more diverse families than just your typical things grown in gardens

Started a 20x10 inches tray of zucchini 3 weeks ago, I am at about 0:57... First males flowers open, then female. Always grow more than one plant to make sure there are female and male flowers open at the same to pollinate and grow zucchini. Inspirational, thank you!

It might be that plant feels "time" differently with humans, and they might be alive and conscious just like us. Look at them moving and swivering. We wouldn't be able to notice their movements if we see them with our understanding of time.
@abood.7795
@abood.7795 3 жыл бұрын
True, they move slow because they move using hormones so when they move towards sunlight, the leafs sense sunlight and move towards it. So they would move and grow normally while we would just see them stationary.

Most of the movement is because of the plant growing in different directions, or turgor pressure from absorbing water.

Now I have more confidence thanks to your channel. I also bought large craft sticks to label each section of plant.

Always wondered.. Does the soil texture and temperature change for different plants? If yes, how do you decide that
@skippythealien9627
@skippythealien9627 Жыл бұрын
sometimes. For certain plants, particularly "Fruiting" vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, squash, eggplant, peppers....they prefer warm soil temperatures. there's a reason why as soon as frost hits, you won't get good tomatoes anymore other plants, like lettuce and kale, prefer the colder temps. if it gets too hot, lettuce almost always turns to flower and becomes bitter and not tasty

I'm gonna take a guess and say the male flowers didn't bloom properly because of the 24hr lights since they usually bloom in the early morning, maybe they needed a proper day/night cycle to bloom Or maybe it really is bc of the variety, i dont know Either way this video is really cool!!
