I would love a more in depth video and product recommendations for both growth factors and peptides(I've already watched the one you've done for peptides). I think retinol is way too irritating for many of us, so listening to your expertise is sth I always look forward too. Thank you doc ❤️

Have you tried Retinaldehyde or Differin ?
@lori44238 ай бұрын
@@johncheffy4775 I have tried retinaldehyde, and it was a disaster. My face couldn't handle it at all (I buffered it, doing everything to the letter). I also have a mix between keratosis pilaris and rosacea, and at the moment I can only tolerate azelaic acid every other day (struggling a bit with this too, but it is bearable and it helps with the redness)

I am a biology student and I specialise in Pharmacology, while I am not at all qualified to confirm nor disprove the efficacy of Growth Factors as a cosmetic ingredient I advise you all to be careful because it could promote the growth of cancerous cells so if you already have cancer it's a big no-no. And if you have any doubts (for exemple if you have suspicious skin lesions that could indicate a melanoma or a carcinoma) talk about it with your dermatologist first. Don't be paranoid, just cautious
@mariannek67358 ай бұрын
This is the first time I hear about growth factors, and the risk of cancer was the first thought that came into my head. I wouldn't risk it in general if there are alternatives 😖
@melchiorlise24668 ай бұрын
@@mariannek6735 Honestly there's plenty of other ingredients you can use that are backed by more scientific research than Growth factors. Not that I am sure it wouldn't work, but it's not entirely risk free and there's safer alternatives. Work smart, not hard.

I would be extremely grateful if you could cover growth factors, including SH-Polypeptide-9, the VEGF responsible for blood vessel formation, and its possible negative impacts on fair-skinned individuals with a tendency towards rosacea. Apparently, the production of this substance can be triggered by UV radiation. In darker skin UV does not penetrate deep enough to cause this kind of damage, but for Fitzpatrick 1-2 UV rays can induce synthesis of VEGF, which in turn can lead to telangiectasia. I assume that - if the topically applied GF penetrates at all - it could have a similar effect and lead to undesirable results.

With all due respect, why take such great care of your skin and allow cigarettes to poison your body? And it adds to skin aging, discoloration and fine lines. Dear sir, please find ways to switch the cigarettes for something healthier so you don’t have to have open heart surgery like my grandfather or cancer like many, lose a jaw, your ability to speak, etc. Best luck to you. Wish you well and hope you really think this through because caring for the outside and not the inside is next level cognitive dissonance. Maybe time to really care for yourself. ❤ 🙏

If yes, what should be the other skin care products used alongside? If not, then what's the alternative to achieve a smooth even toned skin.

My husband only wears sunscreen if he is going to the beach, so I can’t buy him any retinol 😂, but would like to perhaps buy a moisturiser for night time with some anti ageing benefits, which feels like having nothing on the skin (he doesn’t like anything sticky or gel like).
