The gun that goes off every night at 9:00 PM really is a small cannon. I live beside Stanley Park and can see (and hear) it from my balcony. Its official name is the Nine o' Clock Gun and it even has its own Twitter account. He tweets a single word every night at 9PM: BOOM! True story.

Tim Hortons is good but it’s more like a Starbucks but if you go to North Vancouver you can find this amazing doughnut shop called Harmony’s Doughnuts far better than Tim Hortons in my opinion. Further more in Deep Cove there is another excellent doughnut place called Honeys Doughnuts. Finally in Vancouver you can find two more tourists attractions one is the Vancouver Aquarium and another is Science World which looks like a big globe. Sorry for the long comment, I understand you can’t visit all of Vancouver in just a few days. To the person reading this comment thank you! I hope you are having a great day!

Loved it and I used to live in Lynn Valley near the Canyon for many years. When I first moved to Vancouver in 1996, Lynn Canyon was not very busy and was really just for locals. However, because it got mentioned in a guidebook at some point it is now so popular that it is impossible to find a parking spot in the summer time. ....and yes, I have seen bears all around that area in the daytime - but never a cougar - they are around but the only time you see one will be the last time you see one!

Wonderful to see what you managed to explore and sample here during your visit. I'm glad the weather did not dampen your enthusiasm! Hawaiians actually played vital roles in BC history, going back to the late 1700's - early 1800s, and there's areas like Fort Langley and Kanaka Creek in Maple Ridge (less than an hour outside of Vancouver) that have historical plaques commemorating this.

Maybe coz most people go directly to Facebook now instead of KZfaq - she should repost old videos with low views more often. Timing the posting on FB is also tricky - I only hv time to watch videos late at night (esp long ones like hers) so if she posted earlier in the day, it would be all the way at the bottom of my FB feed which I may not get too b4 I fall asleep. I took a short nap after dinner 😁 so I’m wide awake now & would be binging on her older videos tonight. All her food reviews r making me so hungry tho 😩

For any one that just wants to tour around on the cheap , you can use the sky train which takes you from the sea bus terminal downtown out to the suburbs including vancouvers largest mall on those dark wet days, and to many bus stations which give access to many parks, beaches fresh water and ocean , lakes rivers , hiking trails, also seattle is close by , you can also take the city bus to the ferry terminal , then on a ferry boat to victoria bc which is a 1 hour 40 minute boat ride, then catch another city bus to down town victoria ,

Great video summary for a first brush of city and area! 0:28 The Private Residences at Hotel Georgia. It seems a number out-of-town actors stay in the condos there while they're filming series in the area. I learned that from Instagram. 😎 1:11 That Starbucks Reserve Bar (West Pender/Granville) used to be Tip Top, a men's clothing store ☕️ 2:50 Aaaaaaaaand you’ve just summarized why there’s a lot of filming in Vancouver. That, and the appropriate (im)balance between our respective currencies. 6:25 Construction of the Lions Gate Bridge was financed by the Guinness family: Sláinte! 🍺 14:40 “… and moist. Under that canopy? Very, very moist.” 🌲 15:10 He looks awfully familiar, and I dare say, more awful than familiar … 😬 18:30 Tim Horton was a hockey player who began his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the midst of his playing career with the Leafs, he opened the first eponymous donut shop in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. 19:10 Entering public circulation in November 2018, Viola Desmond is the first African-Canadian person and the first Canadian woman to appear on Canadian currency.

@@grrrltraveler If memory serves me right your last two were including this one was USA alaska ( then there was india). and to the best of my faded memory your the only person doing your editing, producing, travelling, explorations, opening doors to wondrous new worlds while I make sure I wear a helmet before you blow my mind. I ask because two "easter eggs" you showed that had me scratching my temple.

It was last Dec by the looks. I live Downtown and one of the buildings that was under construction is still being worked on. So I’d say 99% last Dec 2018

Seems like most if these blogs do not mention costs of what they see, do & eat. Granted prices constantly change but costs is what matters most of the time that's why people watch for info for basis. Yeah, It's nice to see sights but will it break my bank account to visit ?

I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. I'm so sorry for Canada. Canadian and Canadian Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe or the United States. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beach. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country. Canada is the best place in the world.
