I've also wondered it. I think it's a bit to keep your brain active and fast, so you can have high apm later in tbe game, but idk

Its to be able to "APM-spam" 45454545 to warm up your hands and to get rhythm going. Usually players rebind either button to a unit group later in the game or production buildings. Many players hotkey their TC onto the entire number-row and then just do ctrl 2 or ctrl 3 etc. when the thing thats supposed to be on that hotkey emerges. Also having 2 hotkeys for the same thing can be advantageous in some situations where reaching either button is easier depending where your hands are situated on the keyboard at the time. Keep in mind that if you press a hotkey once you select something but if you press twice you move the camera too it. Warming up and doing flawless 45454545's without the camera moving to your TC might be considered useful, you dont wanna be double clicking your production tab by accident mid fight when all you wanted to do was to queue up a few units. Also it just feels very good to spam on a decent mechanical keyboard

I agree with this! Him playing WC3 vs TheViper then him playing AOE2 with TheViper then we end on common ground which is AOE4 or SC2 (Both played this game).
