I think what the person commenting about Infi giving up was actually about how he may have gotten 'sick' of not being able to end it and felt pressure when he perhaps didnt't need to. He may have been able to lock your base down a bit better and prevent you from harassing his long distance mining at the end there and maybe even got himself a hall but instead played a bit more aggressively than he should have trying to end it.

This was so fun to watch. Grubster still got it.

I think this deserved the legendary tag, if not then epic at least, the sheer amount of high level plays and ability to endure, adapt and counter by both sides sees to that.

I wonder how Infi felt facing the World Champion Grubby.

Infi made a huge mistake getting into grubby's base. First, infi's army was mostly melee and grubby's was ranged. Second grubby had spikes, heal and stasis traps, the walkers infi had weren't enough to dispel everything. Grubby knew his only chance was to defend his base and lure infi in, since he had a small chance of winning in an open area.

I wonder why Infi didn't create catapult to attack your base from distance when he was besieging you ? it seemed to me to be the best solution

why you dont playing remastered?

Why was he so impatient in rushing in the TC at the end? He had you trapped in your base. He could have waited patiently outside your base, while he mines gold slowly over long distance, and eventually set up an expo.

Sorry but boredom isn't an excuse for feeding, especially at high level. If you are high level you have played super long games before and if you never quit if you think you can win. Would be cool to get some kind of replay breakdown but my guess is he figured he would have to fight anyway and wanted to take the fight while Grubby had the least mana. Because of upkeep diminishing returns and him already having a huge army, stalling for siege isn't necessarily reliable especially vs dire wolves, would be wasted gold and time for him and free health and mana for Grubby but I haven't crunched the numbers on that so maybe it's still worth.

Infi as a pro gamer, playing in EU server with 200 ping vs opponents with 20ping, only has 1 reason... He wants to know if the EU guys have another play style and see if the can make use of any new and unexplored tactics.. He doesnt need to win a LADDER GAME, it isnt very fun for him due to ping and opponents are weaker than Chinese ladder. He has about 20 ping in netease ladder and and he gets to meet ppl like 120, WFZ, lyn, moon etc etc. For this EU account, its just about exploring play styles and not be blindsighted in the next tournament by an EU player or to use some unorthodox tactic against Moon/TH000... Regarding this game with Grubby, he could have just expanded and get a 80 food army with heal scrolls and push Grubby's expo to won, but that would be another 10-12min at least with 7 min of mouse spam, which was just a waste of his time. He knew he has already won if he played defensively, so just end this one with a push and move on to the next 200 ping game...
