Puertas is made out of a rock. Those strikes he took to the front leg & body would have destroyed most fighters, but he just kept on coming forward like Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees. A rematch is in order.

Esos que critican a estos peleadores seguro deben de ser campeones mundiales de One Champions, se creen que saben todo, si almenos supieran lo que es estar parado ahi, una patada en la cara y lo dejan pensando en su vida, quisiera verlos aguantando 5 rounds con estas bestias. El clinch lo hacen todos cuando se te va el aire, hasta los boxeadores se abrazan por momentos para respirar un poco y seguír, no es un juego sucio.

these 2 reportes talk such nonsense (always its so close, so close...), I had to look the fight by turning them off - it was a great fight, the Puertas did good but it was not close it was a clear winn for Superlek.

Superlek is clever for sure This fight is really tough for him He always runs and try to keep the distance from his opponent He knows exactly that he would be knocked out if he keep trying to confront his opponent in the short range fight

The referee had to penalize supelek for clinching every 10 seconds. He just shouted warnings at him with doing anything. It's not kickboxing if you clinch after every two or three strikes.

Ehh I disagree there’s Puerta was forcing the clinch as much as superlek in those situations he would try and pressure so close that that instance you slipped or rolled a punch you were already under the arm. I get a smothering style but if you’re getting so close that there’s no option but tie up instead of sticking your face into a shot then let it rock. He wasn’t even trying to close in then frame the face he would just march forward and swing until the tie up.

A contrasty fight of two completely different styles. Superlek is a multi-dimensional fighter and is skillful in all areas. Puertas is a one-dimensional fighter who relies solely on his powerful punches by pressuring his opponent. Superlek out-strikes Puerta 6 to 1 in every round. They are strong shots that hit the legs, body, and head. They came from fists, knees, and legs but elbows. Puerta on the other hand moves forward and hits the target once in a while. Basically, he is a moving punching bag. He can't win a championship and hope to connect by luck. He has to create opportunities to get to the target. He had no plan nor answers to Superlek's slaughts. His biggest asset which is toughness saves him. He is beaten and does a chicken dance but not down. Chapeau! About the two clowns that comment on this fight. How in the world does Boss Chatry find a way to make people humiliate themselves? After 4 rounds, one of them still said that the 5th round will be decisive. If you are a punching bag, you never win any fights dummies!. Whatever your guys were smoking didn't do you any good. Your words show us that you got ZERO knowledge of fighting.

Quick question if anyone reads this, i thought knees and elbow were only used in muay thai, not in kickboxing, but i see superlek hit a lot with knees and i don't get why since this is kickboxing, am i missing something? Thanks by advance guys !

I could not listen them, had to turn them off to enjoy the fight - it was a clear winn for Superlek. Puertas did good, to my suprise he overcame very hard hits - but the fight was not so close as they always mentioned.

Awful edits in this. Continuity breaks took away from the fight as ref yells "break" and you cut to the next punch being thrown. Not really good to watch. Yellow card issued but we are not informed.

Robbed. He had Not-So-Super moving backwards the whole fight. Covered nearly every high kick and boxed the snot out of him in retaliation. All Not-So-Super could do was clinch to try and break his flow and avoid going to sleep. In Thai, it would have been a different story, but in this rules set, there was a clear winner... and it wasn't the dude who got his hand raised.

You could have said Superlek was more technical and I've have given you that. You could have said Superlek did well with his counter-striking and I'd have let you off. Lmao, only a nonwhite has this level of mental gymnastics. Always the victim, even with blatant favoritism. Superlek clinched constantly. He did it non stop. Acting like there was any equivalence between the few time Daniel did it. Superlek abused the clinch like most Thai fighters because Thais have poor boxing and they are allowed to do it.
