❤What Did I Wear?!
I wore really simple all black attire-business casual. I wore nice black pants, some nice booties, and a long sleeve black shirt to cover the tattoos on my arms. About my tongue piercing, I did take it out right before my interview and put it back in immediately afterwards.
For this being my very first job interview ever, I would say it went pretty good. We will see what happens! I will not be disclosing where I had the interview for security reasons in case I do get hired. Thanks for understanding!

I hate job interviews :| the whole process of having to erase my appearance for a version that someone else has decided is better just really bothers me! I don't understand why my piercings, hair, or tattoos effect how someone views my capabilities? I hope things change one day.

Blake Abel I totally agree! But you have to do what you have to do. Society isn't accepting of body mods like it is everything else. I don't understand it. Me too.

I agree with doing what you gotta do. Hopefully the growing positivity towards body mods will help companies in the US see the value of all people in the workplace!

It's because as an employee you are representing their company. They want you to look professional and approachable, which helps with sales and making them money.

samanthas snow theres nothing unprofessional about body mods. They are in no way harmful or threatening to anyone. Everyone has different opinions I guess. Its whatever.

eriiikax0 its called oral health and safety, most jobs you cant because if the piercing comes out, you could injure someone :/

eriiikax0 like if you work in food and it comes out and ends up in the food or if you are in the medical field it could cause someone infection if it falls into their wounds

***** I understand that. But what about working in retail or as a cashier? What injuries and/or infections would a piercing cause there? & What's the deal with having to cover up tattoos? Could they "flake off" & cause problems too?

eriiikax0 i get your point and yes new tattoos flake lol :P also longer ear rings get caught in clothes and hair etc and can fall out still in retail, getting caught in things being put out on displau

Break a leg!! Make sure to come in in person and ask the manager about the application/try to chat a little bit about how much you want the job etc. Really ups your chances of getting called back

danii rowland A good way to fade or lighten any color is to put baking soda in your shampoo. Don't do that too often though. :)

If you live near a Walgreens, they will hire people no matter what. Like you can have as many tattoos, piercings, and colored hair as you want. I work at walgreens and they told me they are an "equal opportunity"company, which is what that all means. (:

Mariah Cathey All places of business are equal opportunity employers, that means they cannot discriminate against race, gender, religion, etc. Tattoos and piercings have nothing to do with that, that's listed in thier specific dress code with what they allow and don't allow. At least that's how it is here.

Is that the bh cosmetics beauty blender or the original beauty blender. If it's the bh one would you recommend it?

Elizabeth Harvey No it's not the bh cosmetics one. My sister has that one and I've seen it in person and no I wouldn't. It's a lot more dense and the beauty blender is a lot softer. I prefer the actual beauty blender brand over anything. the real techniques one is nice too! and that one is only $6

You look beautiful in this video :D. I hope the whole job thing goes well! :) But something I've thought about is the whole "hide piercing/tattoo thing", is it common? I have visible piercings and tattoos and at my last two jobs I didn't have problems with my bosses or anything.. I'm only 18 so maybe that's why I haven't dealt with this problem before.

DanielbBresson Where I live tattoos and piercings aren't really accepted anywhere in the work place. Maybe this place is different but I more or less did it out of respect. I really didn't want to take them out but I did just in case. :)

Why don't you just take the piercings out and put them back in after? I think it looks just as noticeable with a bar just sticking out. When I go to work I always take my piercings out and just put them in after work. I work 9 hour days and they never close up.
