Before assuming that I could "improve" upon proud German engineering by altering the pistol, I've discovered from my own experience that jams are primarily the result of the pistol's "affinity" for certain types of ammo. It's finicky about ammo. Winchester M-22 jams all the time, but Remington Golden Bullets work almost flawlessly for me. 😊👍

After removing the paint from the rails, my Sig functions flawlessly now. It’s one of my favourite to shoot. Cheap and fun, I agree not the most accurate. That’s with the full guide rod and bushing upgrade from ZRT.

I have modified mine with the stainless barrel bushing and guide rod 260 rounds last week 0 problems, over 5k rounds fired

Love this gun. Not extremely accurate but not bad. I did put the after market guide rod and barrel bushing in mine. Also put fiber optic sights which made world of difference for me. I have the same Hogue grips in black and LOVE them.

You have to run hot ammo through this gun. That's why it says on the slide '22LRL HV' for high velocity. Another thing you will find is as you shoot the gun, on the alloy slide, the slide stop notch will slowly round out as it is peened by the slide stop. Eventually, your slide stop will no longer function. It might take a thousand rounds, ten thousand rounds, but you will see it slowly happen over time.,

We just got this weapon yesterday, at the Tucson AZ . Gun show Paid 400 bucks, came with a hard case and only 1 mag. What price did everyone else pay?

Best 22LR Pistol you can buy ! It is well made, accurate and reasonably priced, I have had mine 4 years and never had any problems...just use good ammo !

I'm one of those people that curses this gun endlessly haha. Did you sand down the frame rails? Wondering if it helped. If anything helps with the constant failure to eject, failure to load, etc....

Is this the same size as the browning 1911? Looking for a 1911 to fit my 9yr old small hands. The browning is perfect size(grip) but not budget like this one.

The best? I’ve had to do a lot of work on mine. The slide was exceedingly sluggish until I polished all the oversprayed paint off the rails, in the groves the slide fits in, many other spots where there was friction. I changed out the spring and guide rod. Many little touches to smooth it out that you should not have to do to a new gun. And it is better now but only consistently cycles CCI stingers, it should cycle all HV ammunition but it doesn’t. So, best .22? Not at this point.
