Superb guitar. The authority of the treble notes is striking, the magnificent sustain is very impressive and so on. Even simple C and G chords seem to say "This is what we should sound like"...

Very nice JP, this has to be one of the most unique and original guitars I've seen in a while, don't think I've seen a 12 fret slope shoulder dreadnought before, also with the slotted headstock and cutaway. I hope your enjoying it :)

Not surprising that Chris and his team did this. Your feature in Nashville with him was amazing and you could see how impressed he was with your performance. Just bought my 4th Alvarez and being a lefty my choices are limited but I am so pleased with the tone and quality of these guitars. I know they will never make these high-end beauties in left hand but that's ok, I am hooked for life on Alvarez. Congratulations JP, hope to hear you play this classic beauty in Halifax this summer. I am super happy for you JP! The guitar sounds great and you were killing it with that last tune. It totally showed the dynamic range of the guitar - strong lows and crisp/clean highs. ...As a huge fan of the A & K. Yairi guitars, and since I have quite a few already, the next one I want to get is a full custom built to my specs. Some day I'll get to doing that...but might buy something close if I run into it between now and then...because GAS, you know...

Congratulations Chris I too love Alvarez Yairi since 1986 when I bought a DY 75 with the regular saddle. I love that tone n volume it like a D28 . Then ion 2003 I bought a Dym 95 aura I found that model is really rare with a Fishman . I would love that 12 fret JP Yairi 🎸🎸🎸❤️

Congratulations! Outstanding guitar. Just having an Alveraz Yairi with your name on it is a great honor. Chris said on a video recently that Yairi will run out of the 50 year old mahogany sometime this year. So if anyone is interested get one soon!

That is so amazing! The sound is different from Boucher and Gallagher. That sounds like only a 50 year old Honduran Mahagony Yairi sounds. That is my favorite sound/tone. Wow! Wow!

I think m it’s the most versatile, capable of all of your sig models, disregarding the weird magic that comes from the Boucher (I don’t they belong in a fair comparison) The magic of the 1new -feet body but with the cutaway! And the slotted headstock! Should be a standard for all builders!

Congratulations JP you have a very nice guitar and it sounds amazing. For Christmas, this year, I found a closeout on a new Yairi FYM 70. It isn't blessed with the Honduran mahogany but has EIR back and sides and a very fine Sitka Top. I can't say enough about this guitar. The craftsmanship is immaculate. When I smelled the inside, I smelled aged wood. Even the bracing looks aged. It can easily can hold its own against any of my boutique guitars and surpasses my big names brands which I won't disclosed. I don't think the American guitar buying public has a clue about Yairi guitars. Your channel has shone a light on this tiny Japanese company. That's my 2 cents worth.

I wanted to get a boucher for my next guitar. But now you got me reconsidering this guitar instead

I love your evaluations , your experience etc. I had a question ran across the guitar company which is out of Quebec Mackenzie and Marr they seem to really put out a nice product and not overly expensive, and yes I love Alvarez and maybe some day will own a Japanese Yairi Alvarez. I hope you can evaluate of the MacKenzie and Marr guitars.
