So, if you're new and have questions. Please watch part 1 of this video and the previous GT2 A-Spec videos made before that one: I linked them in the description plus included 2 of the videos in the end screen. More notes below: - The mod is available now in the description to download. - The mod is still being worked on and there's been updates to the cars since I've been working on this video. There's even a couple of car models that were finished after I finished this video for instance like the Audi R8R Race Car and the Alpine A110. - I will be making more small videos on the mod, mainly just doing some actual races with the cars. Steps to install: 1. Download mod. 2. Download xdelta 3. Once xdelta is ready to go on your computer [don't know if it's usable on mobile or tablet], take a look at the 3 rows and get used to them. 4. The patch row is where you open the patch at. The Patch is the mod you just downloaded, so open that thing up! 5. The source file row is where you open your GT2 iso/bin file at [You need Version 1.2 of a USA/Canada build of GT2 for this to work]. Don't use a PAL or Japanese release! 6. Lastly, the "Output File" row is how you save the final file. Which is how you'll be able to play the mod itself! 7. Alright, after you opened your patch and iso/bin file in their correct sections. Click the 3 dots on the "output file" section, the program will ask you to save your patched iso as something. 8. Save the patched game as whatever name you like. For me, I'll just say GT2 A-Spec. Make sure to type .bin at the end of your chosen name or else it will NOT work. 9. Open your newly patched game on whatever emulator you use to start the game. 10. Playtime is here!

I am absolutely love all those 95 additional cars in GT2 PROJECT A SPEC MOD! The Peugeot 905, Renault Alpine A442B and Alfa Romeo Tipo 33TT12 are the ones that caught my eyes the most!

@@maru-sen9792 They're still planning to add more cars, so the A310 could make it in. Believe me, they haven't stopped, there were a few models made since I posted part 1. For instance, the Audi R8R Race Car and an Aston Martin DB7 GT1 race car were modelled. The Mercedes CLR also now is in W.I.P..

Love all these cars! Their models are really accurate and respectful to the PS1 GT2 graphics. The only weird thing is Mitsubishi HSR Concept's weird movable fins which always pop up when braking and then immediately disappear. I feel it might be distracting to the players who drive it with chase cam, and it might be okay to remove the fins altogether for that reason because the car's design is already spot-on right off the bat. Are some of the car engines new?? I haven't heard Peugeot 905's engine noise in GT2 before, it sounds like an entirely new sound effect the team implemented. If so, props to the team for another effort in replicating these new models! I'm holding back the urge to return to GT2 until this mod comes out in the future because I can't wait to play it with the new contents!

Hello, thanks for the feedback. Anyway, I honestly like the inclusion of the fins as an attempt to depict active aero in GT2; it feels like something PD would've attempted. But I can understand the opinion. Anyway, yes there are indeed new car engine sounds for some of the cars.

That's actually the full line up of Sega Touring Car Championship except the original prototype, although 155 DTM and Calibra DTM aren't evolution models, and Calibra seems having wrong spec ('96 spec on '94 model?) that I haven't seen any note about it yet.

I hope they could improve on the sounds, i thought a more aggressive sound like the hks drag cars would fit the alpine a442 better.

They're probably going to do so overtime, they are adding new sounds that weren't in the game before afterall. Don't agree with you on the HKS Drag Car though, I don't think the Alpine should sound like a Nissan.

@RandomCarGuy17 Since 2 Hours race at Rome Circuit will be based on DTM Endurance Race, the player can choose Castrol TOM'S Supra '96 to race against trio DTM titans.

The amazing thing about this mod is that it seems ready for release. That says something about current AAA developers who continually have to release patches for games that went gold and were released. An independent modder is running laps around the current gaming industry. I can't wait to try out this mod. GT2 is the GOAT!

Sadly no, I don't think customized helmets will ever be possible in gt2.

Functionally, I believe the differences are performance based, the car is tuned more for offroad driving than the normal CTR 2.

10:50 How is it possible to make flaps deployed while braking? I thought that was the reason they consider first HSR instead of HSR-II

They modeled and coded it that way. I couldn't explain it to you as I didn't make it. Anyway, that's not why they picked the HSR-I over the HSR-II, it's because a lot of their car choices are going for lesser known cars. It's also why there's a Mazda 767B in the mod instead of the 787B.

Komputer here. The sounds are mostly from GT2's sound library, and modding sounds for cars is limited to switching it to sounds from GT3 and GT4, both of which don't really have good soundbanks for engines.

Is the Camaro LM leagues and bounds better than the other LM fantasy cars? It has 700+ hp compared to the usual 500-600 ish most of the others have. If so, I hope they buff the other LM’s to make them viable too, I love my RX-7 LM too much to give up.

I just gave the Camaro a try against other fictional LMs and I can dominate with it, but that honestly doesn't say much when I've been able to dominate similar races in normal GT2 with less powerful cars. I also tried GT All Stars before that with the RX-7 LM Ediiton (not the GT-C or A-Spec) and it feels like I can still beat opponents with it. I also tried the RX-7 LM against the real-world cars in GT World League, it feels like it'll struggle a bit if you're like me and have issues with some of the more tail-happy cars.

Since some of the cars were "nerfed" to be more accurate, does this have any effect on the license tests?

Good question and based on a recent test I tried (Midfield S-License with Pennzoil GT-R), I can safely say no. I think the cars are going to behave the same during the tests despite the nerfs.

I know that Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo 2 supports analog acceleration and braking, but on the Left and Right Analog Sticks, I'm uncertain on whether the games support analog reverse. Will I be able to use analog acceleration and braking for the R2 and L2 buttons respectively on a PS3, PS4, and PS5 Controller?

I don't think so, I haven't heard anything from the actual modding team about updating analog controls. I mean, you can play GT2 on an emulator with those controllers, (I recorded this video with a Dualsense) but I don't think the mod is going to do anything beyond what's already available for GT2 already.

The E30 doesn't look right. The B pillar should be slanted backwards, not forwards, the C pillar is much too thick and there's no hofmeister kink on the rear quarter windows. It makes it look like a Maserati Biturbo

I think I recall Komputer saying they were planned, but I don't know when they'll be in the mod. When or if they're modelled on. The mod for now is focusing on more road cars and lemans type race cars.

Whoever is in charge of putting the sounds to the cars needs to look up the actual cars, because a lot of these assigned sounds are terribly wrong.

Sadly, that's down to limitations in modding gt2 itself. You can't put custom sounds in this game, only use car sounds from the first 4 GTs.

@@adamwebster9784Look, as RCG has said before, we can't really do much with the soundbanks. The only thing thing we can do is replace them with soundbanks from GT3 and 4, but GT4's sounds are garbage. GT3 is somewhat tolerable. It would've been much easier to do the sounds if the sound tool was a public thing, but it isn't. We're trying our best to deal with the sound issues. Hope you understand.
