The Lambo Urus has proven to be a somewhat polarizing car for some in the GT community, with opinions ranging from 'we didn't ask for this bloated garbage' to 'this thing is a 700PP monster'. Rare it is to see such a marmite yet genuinely useful car at the same time, but regardless of which side you fall on, one thing is simply undeniable - its properly, growlingly quick.
''Introduced in 2018 in response to the global SUV boom, the Urus was a "Super SUV" from renowned exotic-car manufacturer Lamborghini.
Styled with sharp lines and an edgy design similar to that of the company's mid-engine models, the Urus' body construction was inherited from other full-size SUVs from the Volkswagen Group.
The Urus' front-mounted powerplant took the form of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, the first ever forced-induction engine ever in a Lamborghini. It produced an impressive 641 HP and 626.9 ft-lb of torque.
The default setting for the vehicle's AWD system was 40/60 front/rear, but it could be adjusted from 70/30 to 13/87 depending on the road surface.
Other Urus highlights were an adaptive air suspension system, rear-wheel steering, and torque vectoring, all of which combined to deliver the type of handling and cornering performance befitting a Lamborghini. Optional driving modes made the car vehicle at home on off-road trails and even through the desert.
But what was the most impressive about the Urus was its acceleration. It ran from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, to 200 km/h in 12.8 and reached a top speed of 305 km/h, making it truly the world's fastest SUV upon its debut.''

The Urus is really competitive in 700pp Clubman Club Plus events. At Fuji Speedway, the lap times in a tuned Urus was 3 seconds faster than the next AI opponent which is either the GTR Nismo or the V8 swapped 1988 Silvia. It was faster than some of the supercars on the track.

I fell in love with the Urus for the offroad events in Forza Horizon 4 and 5. Glad to see it's getting out and about elsewhere in the gaming world.

The Urus is one of the only SUVs I like, and I'm glad it's in GT7, and I'm more glad that it's actually a good car. It's fun to drive, it's different and it's useful. The Urus is a weapon at 700pp events.

I love it, it's great fun! Looks amazing in dark metallic purple, trust me. Some other super SUV's I think would be good for GT7 would be the range rover SVR, dodge durango hellcat, G63 AMG, porsche cayanne turbo, Ford bronco raptor, and many more.

Amen to the Durango. Seven seats and 700hp stock! The X5 M Competition, Levante Trofeo and even the Trailblazer SS from the 2000s would be great as well.

This car is an animal on dirt and roads. It’s all over the place when you drift it, and it nosedive when you hit the ramps.

@@ciscodeer9094, not for me. I love Fisherman’s Ranch. Lots of ramps, full of sharp curves, and the big ramp. I just floor it and watch my car get launched into the air.

I don't mind SUV's in a game, they can be fun to use and, as you have shown, quite versatile. I had fun with the Urus in the one-make weekly event, which I have gone back to several times. I hope that the addition of the Urus is a precursor to other SUV's being added to GT7 - the Mazda crossover, the Range Rover Rangestormer, the Mitsubishi Pajero Rally Raid (1985) and the Toyota RSC Rally Raid would be welcome returns - like the Toyota RAV4, the Suzuki Vitara, a new model Mitsubishi Pajero, the Subaru Forester, the Maserati Levante and a Porsche Macan. Competition for the Urus would be nice...

I did a hotlap at #Nürburgring Nordschleife in a Stock Urus in cockpit view without in-game HUD. It was a blast when you get used to the car

In the Urus one make race you can really feel how bulky and tanky the car is, even with full weight loss packages they're still feeling like sumo wrestling in close combat, and having a hard crash after jumps the car just act as a wrecking ball flying across the track.

I havw no problem eith SUVS, actually i love some of them, but what about modern supercars? I feel like wasting money on licensing a suv could be better used in a supercsr like a mclaren, ferrari even a huracan 2020

I’ll never get SUV’s. They’re not offroaders, family cars, stationwagons or sportscars. They’re not anything specific, just a bland mixture of all things, trying to do all things and failing at all of them. I don’t want my oven to tell me the time of day, I want it to microwave or airfry or whatever and have done. The clock lights up, even at night. Did I ask it to do that? Do I like it doing so? Hell, no. One device should do one thing, and do it well. Focus. So they gave it a mother of an engine. It does 4mpg? It still weighs in at a moderate house. If you do an endurance, you don’t take this RV. It’s a clowncar.

Why I don't like the Urus: 1. It is ugly as $#!t. I know this is personal taste but I borderline hate the aggressive styling of modern cars. 2. I borderline hate most big cars because there is only so much you can do to mask the size. 3. Said vehicles tend to be very, very poorly balanced. That said I totally think that there is a place for said vehicles in GT. The challenge of driving them quickly is honestly a fun challenge but for the love of motoring give me a SUV that isn't horribly ugly if you are going to include them. My final issue is the fact that said vehicles tend to be poorly balanced. The Urus is currently a very powerful car overall thanks to it's power with enough grip for it to not really be hindered that much on most tracks. It is honestly this fact alone that makes me resent said vehicles in racing games way more than anything else.
