Update: The Model S CANNOT race rally. You cannot install dirt tires.

The Himedic was surprisingly quick. I beat the Japan 550 race series with it at 550pp, with clean race bonuses at every track. I race with a stock PS4 controller. 😂

The Himedic is fun if nothing else. 😂 There’s value in its absurdity.

High torque isn't the reason why EVs don't have multi-gear transmission. Torque that is given in advertisements of EVs isn't engine torque-it's output torque after built-in 1-speed transmisison. They don't have classic gearbox because of the weight and complexity of that system. Weight is already huge issue with EVs and complexity would increase cost and potentially lower reliability of a vehicle, which EVs just cannot afford in their current state. Many high end-EVs use 2 (or more) speed transmissions (e.g. Taycan) and there are multiple prototypes using classic automatic transmission to increase high speed efficiency and work as a hardware filtering/smoothening for throttle.

That makes more sense. I know I heard the gearbox would get shattered by the torque of the motor in an interview, but it sounds like that came from marketing more than engineering. Simplicity makes a lot more sense. Especially in a road vehicle where 130 MPH is more than enough. This just makes me want to upgrade the transmission even more! Thanks for the comment!

@Kreeber have you heard that skoda is coming to gran turismo 7

I have not. Is that happening? I’d rather see Koenigsegg, but getting a new brand would be cool no matter what.

@@Kreeber Upgrade in terms of more gears/classic gearbox would be propably impossible for most EVs but final gear adjustment should be 100% possible and easier to do than most of swaps and other "higher end" mods already in game.

Controversial- The McLaren F1, in this game, is pointless. Never going to make your money back driving this car- as it is meant to be- in the game. Sure, a de-tuned, out of whack aero, short shift, fuel map 6 version might get you through LeMans 700- but why blow 20mil credits on a legendary vehicle only to have to totally nerf it.

It’s definitely pricey and with them bumping up the race versions it’s adding insult to injury. I do enjoy driving the McLaren, and it can even qualify for the Tokyo 600 with the right tires. It takes around 13 hours to earn the money for it, but you COULD do it with the F1 if you choose to.

@Kreeber agreed. I wasn't suggesting it was a bad car, just wasted. I want to feel what it's like to drive a classic, to see what it takes to tame it. I don't want to short shift, run lame aero, dutuned and short shift my way round a course that there are more suitable cars for that task.
