Today we'll check out GTA 5 as we compare it's graphics and performance between the iconic PlayStation 3 and its successor, the PlayStation 4. As we might expect the PS4 edition of GTA 5 features a higher 1080p resolution , versus the 720p we got on the PS3. The frame rate is again at 30FPS, but frame rate drops are much less frequent. On top of the resolution bump- textures are vastly improved- world details like, roads, buildings, foliage, vehicles, mountains have significantly more details. Lighting effects and shadows are also superior on the PS4 version, which is to be expected.

I think the PS4 version looks better and has better rain effects and more foliage but I feel the PS3 looks a bit more natural than the PS4 version due to the PS4's bluish color filter. This is especially noticeable at 5:44 where you can see that the buildings on both sides of the street are blue in the PS4 version whereas in the PS3 version the buildings appear more natural and true to their actual colors. Other than that the PS4 version is an improvement over the PS3 version. Especially the anti-aliasing. The PS3 version has terrible anti-aliasing whereas the PS4 version this issue doesn't seem to be present much at all.

I still play this game on my 360 and it’s the best version because it’s the OG version of GTA V and nothing can beat that version in comparison of nostalgia ❤

@@SkvalaGamingAlso don't forget ps3 uses bluray media up to 100gb discs the Xbox 360 ruined the quality size cause Xbox needed to have it on two dual layer 8gig discs imagination is if the ps3 version stores more data vs less that. Single layer 25gb bd ROM it could of used a 50gb if wasn't on xbox

Only a ps3 can burn CDs, to the internal hard drive.which sound better than all the music streaming services. And it allows you to make your own playlists Only the ps3 will allow you to store all your pictures onto he hard drive and make your own slide show to your own music. Only a ps3 allows you to store any video you have and comes with a movie editor Only a playstaion has multi audio out allowing you to use an external DAC. Which makes the ps3 far more advanced than the ps4 and the ps5, which can only play games.

If you want a console and are on a tight budget, I'd highly recommend getting a jailbroken PS4 or a PS4 with firmware lower than 9.00. I have the PS3 and it's not really worth getting it now as majority ps3 games work on PS4. Also, every game released till 2023 is on the PS4

@@SkvalaGaming There is not a yet wide enough library exclusively for PS5 to justify the price or the buy. And then there are the gaming handhelds (the more affordable ones sold at Best Buy) that might not be perfect now, but later may improve to a point where they offer both portability and high enough specs to considering buying over the new consoles. I think it's best to save money for now until next year to see what is offered, but that's just my opinion.

@@SkvalaGaming No, what I mean is that the graphics and frame rate are so bad compared to Xbox 360 that they don't have 720p quality. I'm not referring to the game content.
