i notice if you aim for the middle they can't dodge it unless you fired from long distance. if you aim for the cabin or the tail they tend to dodge it. unless you are super close.

The fact that they'll abort the landing and take off if you shoot at them is pretty cool. A bit odd they didn't also add that logic to obstacles in the runway. Then again, having them carelessly land into a semi and explode is much more spectacular than aborting the landing.

Or here is the plot twist: Planes in GTA V flying without any destination because there are not many scripted landing spots there, especially for those planes which are spawned as a "background" filling and they are already in the air.

It's a shame you can't fly jumbo jets in GTA online but you probably would get blown out of the sky pretty quickly unless you were in a solo session but you can only fly them in single player

If I remember correctly the jumbo jets will abort a landing if a vehicle is blocking the runway, The vehicle has to be closer to where they touch down

I can tell you from 6 years of Army infantry experience that these things fly so fast that they are nearly impossible to see in time to even try to dodge one. That close it would be impossible to dodge it.
