Yeah, I'm actually in the flight tech school and after a few years i'm going to study in the military aviation academy. The closest military flight simulator to the real life which is available is DCS World

They said that there are no planes in GTA IV because "map is too small". But I find this statement utterly ridiculous. GTA IV's map is almost as big as GTA SA's map and far bigger than GTA 3's map. So there is enough space for planes to fly! Their explanation that "map was too small" was very unconvincing and totally senseless.

GTA 4's map does not have open spaces like gta sa's map, and there is no point in flying a plane in a crowded city, plus where else could you even land a plane on gta 4's map besides the airport.
