Dude, absolutely well done. Really wish for a Saints Row 1-2 remake. Perhaps in the future Deep Silver is interested in the franchise again and hopefully contracts a different studio to do remakes. To go by example EA ran Dead Space 3 and the series into the ground but insisted on keeping the Dead Space 1 remake as faithful to the original as possible.

If you think Saints Row 2022 was bad, blame Deep Silver, not Volition. The publisher had final say in every aspect of the game, and the devs even said Deep Silver were the ones who insisted on new characters. The fact that they shut down Volition when they were just following orders shows exactly what's wrong with the games industry.

@@revenge1205 true, I played it recently with max settings on and it looked way better. He prob set these to low cause of the poor port which basicly doesn't allow you to run with stable 60 fps even on new gen pc.

Can't help, but feel sad that Volition is gone after all their struggling to make a game unique enough that it wouldn't be compared to GTA: just for GTA VI to be announced not long after they closed their doors. Based off what you said in a previous video, it makes it even worse that the newest Saints Row game could've been so much better, but their bosses wanted something different and had them make a game hardly anyone cares for. I can only hope Saints Row is revived one day and given the love it deserves. RIP Volition

Trying not to be bitter cuz what's done is done but I do kinda hope they saw the trailer and the reaction and instead of thinking "we did the same thing why didn't ours do better?" They thought "Yeah, I see where we messed up."

I remember this game. It was a pretty big departure from the first game, since after the explosive ending, many people were hoping there was a chance you'd still get to play as your own customisable boss. I'm not going to lie, it was like the rug got pulled out from everyone when we found out you'd be playing as strictly pre-made characters. There was a lot of contention and upset over this change, especially how it forced you to play as a female for large parts of the game, but with revamped gameplay, a significantly more interactive environment, baller story and tons of things to do, it came to grow on people, and after release, well, let's just say that doing well is an understatement. I mean, it's Volition, there was no way they were going to screw over their customers. They knew what they were doing. Thanks for finding this lost trailer, by the way. Just watching it brings back so many memories of being excited for this to release.

Yeah, I remember when the jiggle physics blew me away when I first played it on ps3 all those years ago. I’d be so fortunate to see the series remastered for current generations to see all dat recoil:3

If I recall, they planned on having a customisable main character until fairly late into development; the feature was later reused in the online portion of the game.
