When using any of the non stock interiors it becomes more resistant to explosions, up to 4 sticky bombs I believe

It does, if you equip the interior, it becomes a lot mote armored, but prevents you from shooting

I find it odd for it to even have Imani Tech & bullet resistant windows, it's almost like they added the feature late & didn't have time to model the armor plating, so they just slapped on bullet resistant windows instead. HSW is where this car is most notable about.

@@Noducks4life The Penaud has Imani Tech, but the windows are not protected. However, you can use drive by weapons and the car can take around 12 missiles before exploding, as well as 12 RPGs, 12 sticky bombs... The Monstrociti can take 12 missiles but only 4 RPGs, 4 Sticky bombs and so on, but the windows are bullet resistant

The MonstroCiti also doesn’t have the option to customize or change your license plate. This along with the lack of armor plating makes me think they forgot to add some options when it came out 😂

I love how this is a call back to GTA 3 where they had an advertisement for the Monstrosity which was supposed to be a massive SUV. But I guess here it’s the smaller Citi rally version

I love it. For me, it's a great off-roader that can win races (like I already did), but I didn't know about the semi bulletproof windows. Is it a better military Patriot? Probably not, but it's cooler in other aspects

Also if you want to race the MonstroCiti in off road races, there is no option to enable or disable HSW for the race. If you want to enable or disable HSW then you would have to select another race class to do it and then go back to off road.

My new favorite, even for pvp. Speed, handling, off-road, does it for me. Think they didn’t add armor plating cuz it has no special icon

Used it in freemode and took down mk1 & mk2 thanks to the lock on jammer, also out run nightsharks who were chasing me. I just don't recommend using it against some sweat on foot because they like to rocket spam

I think the damage with the rail gun is inconsistent, i destroyed one accidentally with 1 shot. It did not have damage that was visible.

I know broughy also mentioned a glitch where equipping the car with a roll cage gives it the same armor upgrade as the Armor Plating I guess they fixed that? Hopefully that means it's getting armor plating soon too

@@GhillieMasterPlease test! I got rammed by a monstrosity hit it with 2 stickies and it did not blow. They threw one explosive back at my armored stx and it blew up. It was my first encounter with the monstrosity so I thought it was some kind of new OP armored vehicle that somehow deals massive damage.

Threw 2 sticky bombs at one of these from my armor plated B-STX after being rammed by it. Nothing happened to it. They threw one sticky back and blew up my armored stx. Not sure what the hell happened?

I would argue that it's actually just a better Duke o'Death. I know it's not a muscle car, but they're both lightly-armored two-seater vehicles with decent bullet resistance and protection for their occupants. The difference is that the Monstrociti has HSW and Imani Tech, and you can also throw sticky bombs from it.

@@legendnomad8083 The duke is NOT a lightly armored car, it can tank SEVERAL rockets to the face (5 homing rockets to blow up). I'd know because I do use it in public lobbies from time to time. For a car that's been in the game since 2013 it has excellent armor. Also it just looks badass.

I think so. Even without HSW it will still be fast, even if some others have slightly higher speed, and it is still possible to put a Jammer on the old gen

tbh glad r* didn't give this car armor, it would be too op thus making it a boring vehicle overall. In the current state the car is a banger and was my first purchase, it just looks so god damn good, and has bulletproof windows as a very nice addition

I don’t thing u need the window thing to make the back completely bullet proof there is an invisible wall that is there. I opened the rear door then tried to shoot through and the bullet didn’t go through also i know this bc my friend tried to put a faggio in the back 😂🤣. Also still not an option to use the hsw mods in racing the one offroad stunt race u can’t even use the monstroCiti and in land races u don’t get the option to enable hsw mods for the vehicle so it doesn’t have the hsw power in races but it is still quite fast and can definitely give the draugur and kamacho a run for their money and the bikes are useless in races if their is contact bc they just get flattened anyways 🤣

Um ... my MonstroCiti tanks 11 homing while inside ... blows on the 12th ...also tanks 8 railgun blowing on 9th while insideand 4 rpg to destroy ... tested on 2 accounts ... both Imani with hsw ... its the interior .. it acts as armor plating .. so either be able to use weapons or no weapons and have FANTASTIC protection

I've noticed if an Imani capable car has both installable armor plating and bullet resistant glass it gets its own special radar icon. If it is only capable of having one or the other, it just has the normal blip. I actually think this is a good balance.

It does have armour, you need to change the interior to the second type. The problem is that then you can no longer shoot out of it. I doubt that was a balancing measure since it's not even documented (just like the fact that the spoiler traction option is actually the rear window panels)- all hail the r* spaghetti.

@@GhillieMaster its presumably because they mixed up the armour slot with the interior slot, and since armour has only one setting it would seem to make sense that only one of the interiors would be armour on

The roll cage acts as armour I believe. I tested it and it ate stickies for all meals of the day.

I hit one with 2 stickies and it didn't blow and the driver blew my armored stx by throwing just one back. More testing needed on the monstrosity for sure.

This thing ignores potholes and bumpy streets. All streets are flat for it. Streets where a duke of death or a Kuruma would bounce and fly, this thing is nailed to the ground on rails. Even on PC without HSW, this thing is zippy.

Never found the duke to have issues with potholes. Offroad... ehhh... We don't talk about off road. Still the duke is much better as a defensive option in freeroam because people do NOT expect a car that's from 2013 to have as much damage resistance as that thing has. It's great.

This car DOES have defensive upgrades, just not in form of apparent armor. With the interior option equipped, you can't use weapons, but you can increase the armor by a lot. Without anyone inside, mine survived 5 or 6 missiles, if i remember

Nope. Tested that myself. Still took one missile to blow up. Confirmed by Tez as well. Same damage received.

Really? Then i might have lagged or something. When i tested it myself, with no one inside, it had a lot more armor. I took the interior upgrade out and it took just 2 missiles

I wonder, for us PC players, how does a none HSW Monstrociti stack up against the kuruma? Though, tbh, I think even if it beats the kuruma, that will forever be the PvE king. Simply because of one thing: Price. The kuruma is super cheap compared to everything else, is fast and has 4 seats. Sure it can't tank a single explosion (tbh it should at least tank 1 RPG) but it is just... perfect for anything PvE and I'll never ever put it aside.
