I would just like mention of its ability to mulch the grass rather than collect in grass box. I live in the heathland of Suffolk, very dry and therefore mulching helps preserve the lawn and retain moisture. Other comment....excellent review.ta Barry D

Great review thanks. Having just received mine today I was in awe at the way you managed to fit the side clamps with such ease! I watched that bit of your video over and over again to see if there was anything I had missed, but it seems not. The top part of the handle was sprung out too far for the clamps ever to close without popping out. In the end I had to apply brute force to the "legs" of the upper handle to bend them inwards enough so I could close the clamps properly. Perhaps quality control in production is not all it should be. Oh and by the way, my clamps face downwards as in all the documentation, but I noticed you have yours facing upwards. I don't suppose it makes any difference. Another point is that when unboxing, your upper handle came detached, whereas with mine it was attached to the lower part with the clamps on the inside (for packing purposes). Anyway, once I had everything finally assembled, I tried it out on a small patch of lawn and was very impressed with its performance and quietness, compared with my corded Bosch. I've put it away for now as it's far too hot to do the rest!

Hi, Great review. Can you confirm that the deck is plastic apart from the blade. I currently have a 160 cc 2T cast aluminium deckn46 cm Victa that has given me 20 years of service & still going strong but as I get older a cordless mower does seem a sensible option. Just want to be sure that this Gtech will not suffer from a rusted steel deck?

I’ve just received a new one, the side handle clips will not tighten. I’m not going to force them, I may have to try and take them off to try again, they will not unscrew, dam, Gtech’s not replied yet,

Mark, Have you found the mower cuts out regularly, it really does seem to lack enough power to take off a reasonable cut.

My lawnmower has arrived with the locking handles on the inside of the handle assembly and there is no way the lever will lock. How do I remove the locking arrangement to refit on the other side of the handle. Have tried to contact gtech by email and phone no response after 24 hours.

My garden is really bumpy...how ill this mower cope with very uneven ground?

I bought one at the end of last year and although it’s easy to use the mower cuts out regularly, and does not have much power to give a low cut . When you did the cut in the park what was the height setting and presumably the grass was very dry ?

This is a ridiculously overpriced mower. Plastic construction and lacks features you would find on similarly priced mowers. For not much more money, you can get a Mountfield S46HP Li which has a more powerful 80v motor, steel deck and can mulch your clippings.
