@alexandermax13
@alexandermax13 11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. Regarding its legality, make sure you cover your bases with endurance and emissions (noting that it has passed its MOT). Given it’s an OEM exhaust it’s not overly loud and hasn’t attracted any undue attention from the police. I hope this helps.

It probably depends on your budget. I did Muffler only, but I still have the option to do the “Middle Silencer”/ Resonator further down the line, thanks to it being sold in sections and held together using 65mm clamps.

@alexandermax13
@alexandermax13 5 ай бұрын
Depending on what engine you have it may not be possible to install a full GTI exhaust system - i.e. if you have a 1.8T you’ll be fine but if you have a 1.4T you’ll have to stop at the downpipe unless you go aftermarket. Remember also that it will differ between the MK7 and MK7.5 that I have, especially the rear muffler/back box.

That’s a really great car! You’ve got the perfect interior and the lucky spoiler that’ll have the Maxton V2 Spoiler Cap fit perfectly. Regarding the diffuser, I’d recommend looking at the ClubSport S diffuser, however, you may find a more aggressive one from Maxton Design or other third-party manufacturers.

@@alexandermax13 Yes bro, i really just found a agressive looking maxton diffuser for r line also, i really like the r line also because its has the luxury and also it is an 1.4 so it will not drink to much 😅, but yeah the spoiler really make the difference of it. I also have mid smoke rear lights and dark windows. On the front windows i have a chameleon tinted windows very beatiful. Soon i going to order the maxton diffuser and a custom exhaust that will change the car very much, and of course we not going to forget the front splitter and the skirts 😉 for the exhaust iam looking for a good budget, i mean armytrix sound really damn good but its a exhaust setup for like €2500 😅 Maybe i will do bull X or Milltek idk bro

The bumpers between the Golf TSI, GTI/GTD/GTE and R are all the same, the only difference is in the diffuser. Just make sure that if you have a MK7 you get a MK7 diffuser and if you have a MK7.5 you get a MK7.5 diffuser.

@@alexandermax13 I had an MK7, did the the sparks, APR coils, KN filter and fake carbon fibre wing mirror caps to set them off a bit... I was planning on doing a GTI style grille but ended up in an accident where the car got totalled... so I replaced it with an MK8 with a 1.5 TSI and I already have the drop in filter, I wanna do APR coils, sparks, wing mirror caps, turbo intake pipe and charge pipe with a BOV. That was the plan with the original MK7 but I have this so itll be the tribute I guess you could call it... I also removed the snow guard for more turbo sounds and airflow, slam panel mod, gas strut on the bonnet to have it hold itself up and a cat-back is planned too. Wheels and tires I wanna do down the line too but later and aswell as the coils and intake mods I wanna do wheel spacers and nicer brakes (i.e. rotors, pads and give the callipers a fresh layer of paint to set them off as well as preserve them)

That’s what I’m sort of planning but need to be careful in terms of investment vs. return if the car is written off or I sell and upgrade, since the EA211 (1.4TSI) is a great little engine but not the most powerful. How are you find the MK8 1.5TSI Evo engine? What is the Engine code, still EA211? Have you managed to find many upgrade parts for it?
@syrconcrete6399
@syrconcrete6399 Жыл бұрын
@@alexandermax13 Well I feel like if you really are devoted to one car, you will not find youself selling it because these golfs are absolutely fantastic, sip on gas and make great power for the displacement! I feel like as an enthusiast I find myself not modifying the car to make it worth as much money as possible, on the contrary, I find myself modifying it to put the biggest smile on my face. Yes, its is still called the EA211 (EVO2) and it is a direct replacement or successor to your 1.4. Yes, parts are plentiful, induction kits, turbo inlet pipes, charge pipes with diverter valves, exhaust systems etc, the limiting factor on my side is the fact that german car laws are extremely strict. I have a KN panel filter much like yours in it, snow guard delete and I also have APR coils on the way. Next I wanna lower it just a little bit but first I will do the turbo inlet pipe from Forge Motorsport to maximize turbo sounds and wrap it in heat reflective gold foil to reduce intake air temps. Do you by any chance have any other social medias where we could chat? Cheers mate!

I agree, though I’m in a phase of my life where hobbies such as cars have to come second in order to establish myself. Great to hear about the plentiful parts for the 1.5TSI, unfortunately though I couldn’t find the Turbo Elbow or many CAI, can you link any for me to see - maybe I’ll upgrade the 1.5TSI in future.
