I watched this in 2011 for the first time and in my head, Iron BODIED Ness. Now in 2023 I’m rewatching it and there’s absolutely no way Ness got bodied. His flow and lyrics are timeless. The more I listen, the more I appreciate Ness’ bars. Day by day his rounds age like fine wine while Solomon’s bars and flows lose their luster and shine. Solomon’s bars are aging badly. Don’t get me wrong, as far as reactions and how he pieced together his rounds, Solomon objectively won. I keep coming back to Ness’ rounds 🔥🔥

You said it perfectly I come back to this all the time because I thought solomon won easily. I agree objectively yes he did but it’s just how different people look at it. Ness’ flow in here Solomon could even touch at all, if Ness’ wanted to study him and diss him I could have done that (at least to me) Solomon can’t flow like that and go. I personally hate overusing punchlines and dissing. It’s wayyyyy harder to flow smoothly on a beat

I saw this in person. Iron owned that room and put on a flawless, spectacular performance. E-Ness’s style isn’t a live crowd pleaser but it definitely sounds good at home, and is a perfect contrast to Iron. I still think Iron was the clear winner. He was just devastating.

its really hard to judge because their styles are completely opposite...Solomon was mostly personals with some punches... ness was more lyrical with some punches..so to me it just depends on what style you like more...if I was going with personals id give it to Solomon 3-0...but going with lyrics/flow id have to say ness 2-1

Eness is from that old school freestyle. Fast flow don't stop after 1 bar and he keeps on it. Break down his bars and they're good but only a few stingers, too much filler. These are two complete opposite styles. Solomon can flow, don't doubt it. His punchlines hit so hard he has to stop cause the crowd laughs their ass off. No bodies, no landslide this was a straight up good battle but I'd say Solomon takes it even though it's a close one. Iron knows this is entertainment, it's rap on stage 1v1 he makes sure the crowd get their tickets worth rather than just show up to spit a bunch of gang bullshit that I know 75% of these battle rappers don't ever do. So I respect both.

Of all the comments I have read this one I actually respect the most! I'm a huge E Ness fan I had it a tie but I'm not mad if somebody thinks Solomon won its an opinion obviously lol. Good battle all in all E Ness legendary flow sad his career ended the way it did. Might not be over but hey jus call it a day Ness.

sykwitit2o1o I'm a fan of old school rap. Eness definitely has that influence. I personally like his style better, fast flow and smooth transitions. But then again I also like Solomon's wit. It's a tough call to be honest. But I think the reason people hate Eness is because of his battle at Smack against DNA. But I don't like Smack, they stack crowds for their favorite rappers. They mic outsiders and hustle every penny out of them. They're dirt.
