Know this is a old video but I’m looking at getting either 2 cards. I’m upgrading from a msi 970. I wanted to get the 1070 as for the ti model it’s like 80 euros more. What should I do? I’ll be running at 1080p and hopefully some day with a 144 herts monitor

2070 aren't polished yet. wait until proper release/driver updates/benchmarks and then compare the price/performance. 970 to 1070 isn't an urgent upgrade as the cards are only 1 generation difference, however though 9 to 10 series had a quite big performance leap - 1070 ti is a bit faster than 980ti, and that's huge. So if you really want a new card right now, and you don't want to wait until 2070 benchmarks, i'd go with 1070 ti. However, check the price difference of 1070ti and 1080, if it's minimal grab a 1080 instead.

A good reason to launch a Ti version of a card that doesnt need it. Also, those 10 fps are not actually worth it. If this card proves that its 1% low doesnt go below 60fps where the 1070 does, then that may be a reason, but then, why not simply go for the 1080?

If you purchase the 1070 ti and if you overclocked it, it will be like having a 1080. For me the 1070 ti sounds like a good gpu for someone who wants to upgrade from an older gpu.

Gta V seems to have different graphic settings - look on pedestrians and missing van roof lights. - still good video and besides ti does not improve much in these models, possibly when new 1170 come out with direct x and driver changes that can affect previous gen gpus, might be more difference/or less :)

My answer: it depends, a person with a budget of around $1,000 ( USD ) should often go with the 1070, with $1,100 go 1070Ti

is it possible to insert two g.cards and use a screen on each and just mirror the screen over the other? will it make a difference? if so, you could just do that, record both screens and use the magic of video editing to merge the screens into a single video as you did, just without the two different videos.

Not really. More important would be higher minimum fps. An extra 10 fps at 100 fps doesn't mean much, but if you can bump the minimum from 40 to 50, that's a huge difference. If you were shopping to upgrade, (like me), then if you could get the card for a good price over the 1070, then it's worth it, as the Ti would have a longer life span. There is probably a greater advantage at higher resolutions.

So the card mostly gives around 5 - 10 fps more. In certain games and situations this can go up to 20 fps more. I mean watching the prices and stats from those 2 cards i would take the 1070ti at any given time over the 1070. You pay like 50 bucks more to have 5 - 20 fps more AND a slightly better futureproof card? Go for it!

@@kidwawvy yes actually the gap is quite bigger so the GTX 1070 is definitely more worth it! I get my Gtx 1070 phoenix GS for 220€. A guy in my near also sells a GTX 1070ti phoenix GS for 290€ so the GTX 1070 absolutely wins in my opinion. So GTX 1070ti is like 10% faster for 30% more Price.

Yes its worth 1070 ti, price difference is a very little bit depending on your country and sometimes they are the same price so as i said just get 1070 ti and you have a similar performance close to 1080 :)

You think thats how? Try owning a R9 290 since 2014 (A year after it came out). Cant even keep my door closed without it hitting 94C w/o an OC. Cant wait to have a card that doesnt hit over 70 - 75C on average. No i dont have bad airflow in my case, only had this heating issue with my 290, not any other card I had prior. They are just known for running unbearable hot.

1070ti is basically 8% faster than 1070. That's quite a small jump.

the 1070 ti is better performance and also has so close price to the 1070 so guys if you're hesitating about which one to get then just get the 1070 ti. ATM in my country 1070 ti is almost same price with 1070 and sometimes a very little bit higher.

Something is wrong here why is the 1070 ti using moreover the cpus power than the 1070. The 1070 runs better probably behind 10 frames but it runs better. It. Is this 1070 overclocked ? Because if its stock speeds I think nvidia screwed up and overpowered the 1070.

1070 ti still a great card in 2019. But for the current price a 2070 is better and gives more performance. I can’t understand how the prices can be so far off for outdated cards...when they offer a lot less performance compared to what’s currently on the market for just about the same exact price 🤦‍♂️

isn't it better to go with the 1070 at the moment because its fast enough and in 2-3 years just buy another 1070 for SLI ? I guess it would be smarter instead of buying a 1070 ti or 1080 right now..

FedoraHatGuys If you have 1070, don't to upgrade but If you wnat to buy I think 1070ti is better and a little bit different price.

Tube Fun thank you. I’m actaully building my first pc. I️ checked Nvivda website and saw that the 1070 ti was 50$ more than the 1070 and 100$ more than 1080. I’m just waiting for them to be instocked. I’m getting a 1440p 1ms monitors (well actaully 3 of them) with 16 ram. I7-8700k a MSi z370 120$ motherboard. Nzxt s340 case. Cooler master 212x cpu cooler Samsung 500gb ssd. And a 800w power supply
