the only reason why the 1660S wins in some places is cuz the new GPU's (in 1000s not other ones) have extra Mrendering it much faster but over all other stats are a bit lower than 1070 u can tell by the massive dips in FPS it gets in some games

na 1070 wins this one the 1660 super beat the 1070 in 1 game out of all of them and if I'm honest depending on your cpu and which model, on farcry 6 i get avg of 80 fps on my old rig with my good old 1070,thats why i keep it in my secondary rig my primary one will blow both theses cards away put together. 1660 super has always been known as the gap filler for the RTX cards.

ты бы видел что будет если по памяти разогнать +500 1070 и так же 1660супер. супер добавит 1 кадр, а 1070 5 кадров )) тогда она будет в ровень с 1660ти...но вопрос в другом...я играю 1440р очень высокие и почти везде 6000+ мб памяти надо...и там 1660ти захлебнется...я ее и продал. была и супер версия..тоже продал..взял 1070 от гиги g1 и не парюсь 70 градусов в разгоне

1660s power limited 125watt as long not limited by temp. So see that card only going 100watt with advert boostclock maybe its already sett to that level. Undevolt and max clock 1830mhz. At scenario commonly chio going to higher clock to reach 125watt. Not rare iam see boost clock of my card reach 1930~ with default /125watt. But iam undervolt it to 1950/ 105watt. Good for tempt and fan noise.

Elden Ring is built on an old Dark Souls 3 engine optimized for older tech like Nvidia Maxwell and thereby loves Pascal, the GTX 1000 series kills it, 1080Ti is about as fast as a 3060Ti in Elden Ring.

1070 is averaging 50C which is weird. Either it's running at full RPM or it's inaccurate. It's not possible to generate less heat when consuming more power.

some 1070 model have very good cooling my 1070 runs on about 160 wats about 70C and fans are on 36-37% i have EVGA FTW2 model btw which is known for very good cooling too

it can also be undervolting btw...i barely go over 70*C (it in constat 50-60*C) in AAA games as of late thanks to me undervolting my GPU :D it really good thing to do ngl

Because you said this I did peek at the power consumption and it's consuming less power than my 1070 does. Mine pulls like 150 watts most of the time on stock settings and clocks like 50-100mhz lower on stock settings. As far as GTX 1070's go he must have a very good version of the card.

Mine 1070 with triple fan also doesn't goes above 50-60c, rpms are at 30-40% seems like this is just a cold card... One more + to old 1070

1070 can give you more fps in most games, but I don't think it's worth buying it because of it's age, considering the fact that you're going to buy a used one, so I would go with 1660s (and the 1660s isn't much worse than the 1070, they are pretty equivalent

@@awsmx1015 yeah but 2 GB less vram. This can get u in problems with modded games. And also u should consider that 6gb vram can be not enough if u do rendering and editing tasks. the 8gb can really come in handy.

I don't understand. in the RDR2 test, the 1660s was using less power but generating more waste heat than the 1070, while having the same FPS. So was the 1660s more power-efficient or not?

Its more power efficient i guest video using default sett for gpu. Idk about 1070 but with 1660s many can archive advertisen boost clock (1775/1830) with less power mine i get at 90 watt. And can get 105 watt at 1950mhz. I can get 2000mhz but not worth with high temp and loud fan. Basicaly curve and efficiency drop with high voltage. For heat its depend on cooling system like fan or heatsink.

It's more power efficient indeed, but that's not the only factor that counts. I have a bunch of 60s and i can say they are made cheap and doesn't cool bery well

You are assuming they have equal coolers - they do not. The temp is not the heat generated, but the heat the GPU chip is at. A better cooler or a higher fan speed will lower the temp.

Does the same thing happen to me or is it a failure in the card? I have these graphics cards and when the card is at 76 degrees the fans are set to maximum and make a very loud noise but it drops to 75 degrees and the noise is lowered I already tried with several softwares and I do not solve anything, can someone help me? :C the graphics card is gtx 1660 super tuf gaming

try undervolting if u want better temps it wont harm ur Performance ( maybe by 1-2% if u go way lower then u should) it really helps with keeping ur teps 10*C lower :D
