這部影片是給我父母的禮物。.
"光之塔"是一個有關父母的故事。講述遊子追求夢想，父母就像燈塔一樣支持、看望與守護，也是自己這幾年生命經驗的寫照。
繼電腦動畫[回憶抽屜]之後，經歷幾年沈潛，有了這部新的小品之作,[光之塔]。這次的作品是我在UCLA第一年的片子,製作期約3到4個月。雖然是2D而非3D動畫，但是這次的作品嘗試更以[故事]為主軸，希望能反璞歸真，回到動畫與影片的本質。我相信好的訴說意涵是創作的靈魂，希望樸實簡約的手繪風格，能帶給觀者更深切的共鳴，找尋最原始而單純的感動。

This film is made for my parents.
It is related to the director's own experience. The story is about parents support their children to make dreams come true. No matter what happened, parents will be always waiting for their children, just like the lighthouse forever lighting for the boats.

父親是燈塔，父親離開的時後燈塔的燈也滅了，直到兒子一家人又住進去，燈塔的燈才又亮起。很棒的故事結構，很棒的隱喻。

孝順父母本來就是天經地義，特別是當了父親之後，特別有很深的感觸；小時候睡前總愛聽父親說中國民間故事，現在我兒子也要我說醜小鴨的故事不可。謝謝作者的用心，特別是那段兒子最後一次搭船離開的身影，又像是他第一次離開時一樣。因為在父母的眼中，孩子終究還是個長不大的孩子啊！

It is just amazing! I was crying. Then show it to my friend, she was crying. Show it to my mom...and so on. This is so warm and emotional. I feel that my heart changes a little bit after i've watched this.

樹欲止而風不停, 子欲養而親不在, 人生ㄚ.感謝動畫作者深刻描寫出人間親情,尤其對於一個43歲的中年男子,上有高堂,下有幼子而言,有更身的體會,遠本以為是老外做的,想不到是台灣人的創作,真是令人感動,謝謝這群創作者,太棒了!!

Essa história me fez chorar, pq sonhei em ter um pai nesse nivel, mas nao tive, o Canalha nem me considera como filho, sonho em ser um pai como o desta historia um dia.... Realmente é a história mais linda que já vi e a que concerteza tocou no mais profundo do meu coração.

看完之後我哭了其實當小孩的何嘗不知道父母的心情呢? 還沒離開過家之前覺得在家裡爸媽都館很多而現在離開他們身邊卻變得很想家但是卻回不去了... 謝謝導演這是部觸動遊子內心最深那點感傷的片子

hands down my favorite video on youtube. It's so touching, it's unbelievable. I especially appreciate how there is no language and it's all done using music. 那些船一隻比一隻大,好像反映那位爸爸和他兒子的距離, 越來越遠......財富及事業慢慢地建立了起來, 船一隻比一隻大, 可是人與人之間的距離越來越遠, 連兒子在船上,卻再也看不見... 幸好兒子在爸爸老去、臨終的時候在他身邊陪伴著他。看過此片後,覺得應珍惜與家人的相聚及不要只顧著工作及朋友,也要偶爾回一下家。

Thank you for sharing such a beautifully put together story.. i think every person who still has a father should watch this.. we need to appreciate how much our parents care and love us.. but also the importance of giving that love back and showing appreciation. I think the message is also saying that we need to spend more time with our parents, because one day they will not be around..

what better metaphor than a lighthouse to describe the unwavering support of our parents?! Each of us has our own special lighthouse that shines in all conditions to show our ways. It is our return to it, though, that brings it the ultimate comfort of knowing that we are safe. Love sets us apart from the lighthouse but it is also love that brings us back to it. Thank you for such a touching illustration of love.
