We start our delicious adventure trying famous Jalisco style Birria de Chivo (Goat Birria!) at our new favorite restaurant, El Pilon De Los Arrieros! From there we visit one of the most popular spots to grab a local torta ahogada at Tortas Ahogadas Beto! We wrap things up at a hidden gem called Kobuta, a spot that is soon to be TikTok famous for Japanese style Sandwiches!

The drowned torta is very similar to Chicago Italian beef with au ju. Only the bread is different. I discovered that 20 years ago in Chicago when I tried Italian beef. As you say, the Mexican chile gives it a special touch. There are also places where they put the torta drowned in a bag with its juice. It seems strange to eat directly from a small hole in the bag. But when you discover the reason and flavor. Everything makes absolutely sense. Since also in the state of Louisiana, crawfish is eaten with gloves in restaurants.

We saw that but were too nervous to try and order it! It’s so helpful you let us know how to eat it.We would’ve made a fool of ourselves😂. Chicago Italian beefs are insanely good. I’ve had them, as well as tortas ahogadas, which are also 🔥. Completely different flavor profile though. Texture is actually kinda different too.

Thank you so much! We actually left Mexico City and when we came back, we couldn’t find the stand. We were walking all over and eventually found it again so that we could get more of those delicious quesa-Birria tacos. Thanks for letting us know the neighborhood!

Hi Alyssa and Brandon, just re-watching your Mexico videos and some of lacrosse this one where you eat chicken key RAGE and a sandal egg sandwich. It’s funny because I’m just re-watching your Japanese videos. I’m sure the food that you had in Mexico was just as good as a Japanese food you’re having now.

That Kobuta place was incredible! And the couple who ran the shop were so kind! Our favorite food on earth is Mexican but the quality and uniqueness of the food in Japan is unmatched. Alyssa and I I starting to plan our travels this winter and we’re joking that we just want to go back to Mexico and then back to Japan😂

Walking around Zapopan Jalisco Mex , you can find great ! great ! BiRRIA Places , family owned, 5 small tables in their house garage , and many times they´re good, or the Best !........for you to find out, same thing happens with "Locally home operated for Tortas Ahogadas, same with local Chinese, japanese home owned, and around neighborhoods suddenly ! "Tacos de Pescado" fish/tacos and you stop and they are Banggin¨n!! good!...Thank you for sharing friends ! What a great way to retire, eating good around the world ! 🍕🧀🌮🌯🍔🧆 !

My wife is from Guadalajara and we just got married last October here. We currently live here and love the food here. A lot of these places are very close by! My wife says we have to try them all. Love the videos! God bless!

What a rad place to live! We got to live in CDMX for 3 months but then Covid happened. This was our first visit to GDL and it won’t be our last. Maybe one of our favorite cities on earth! If you guys find some amazing new spots send them to us on Instagram! @heres_good

Thanks a million!!!! Dude, we leap frogged the Mexico stuff over Australia because we were falling behind on the videos so unfortunate we’ve already finished that trip! We were only able to do Sydney since we had just 5 days and it was freaking INCREDIBLE! We swam at Bondi and had no idea how much fire Asian food there would be. We got hammered at the bar on the water outside the opera house. We had a massive fish sandwich and tested out some pretty terrible Aussie accents😂. We will be back for sure! It kinda reminded us of our home town San Diego but way bigger and newer! Thanks for watching our videos. We promise in a world we get caught up, Australia videos exist😂

🤣She played in Mexico City when we were there and Alyssa wanted to buy some merch from the local vendors but it was too far away from our hotel. That shirt has taco stains all over it now😂

For the torta ahogada they were not out of avocado, they just don’t carry it. Tortas ahogadas don’t go with avocado, it is really just the bread, the meat and drowned in the salsa, maybe a little bit of pickle onion (maybe) but that’s about it.

Dude that spot specifically was 🔥. I had a couple others saved that I want to try. They sell em in bags and you’re supposed to use the bag as a glove to keep your hands clean! That’s the next level😂
