Guadeloupe is a country in the Caribbean that is also considered to be a French territory. It's official language is French, however it's regional language is Guadeloupean creole. It's creole is very close to ones from Saint Lucia, Martinique and Dominica.
In this video, my guest Hendy speaks to me about Guadeloupe culture and it's beautiful language, Guadeloupean Creole.

I was born in Guadeloupe, and my parents are Haitians. This video was great to watch. Some many people don't know much about Guadeloupe. This is a great intro to our beautiful culture and language. very educational

About the population of Guadeloupe: you have Dominicans from Dominica (south of Guadeloupe) AND Dominicans from Santo Domingo (the country next to Haiti). Make the distinction. Howdy from a Guadeloupean in NYC 🗽 🤗

There is a small population of Trinidadians that speak a French creole that they call patois. It would be dope if you could get someone who speaks it on here
