Nathan Fillion (Mal Reynolds) is really good friends with the director/writer James Gunn since they did a movie together called Slither. Ever since then James tries to find a part in every movie he directs/writes for Nathan. He actually had parts in every Guardians movie. In the first he did the voice of the big blue alien that had Groot shove his fingers up his nose in the prison. Nathan's part got cut from Guardians Vol. 2, and of course this one is pretty obvious. Nathan also helped a young actress Molly C. Quinn get a part in Guardians Vol 2 and 3. Nathan had a long running TV show called Castle he was the star of. Molly played his daughter on that show. In both Guardians movies she plays the red headed human Ravager. In Vol. 2 she was the girl talking to Howard The Duck.

When the audience first sees how organic the Orgascope is, many react with disgust. But in reality, it is designed for the audience to get used to actual, and truly alien methods of structure and technology. There are things in this universe that are not designed for human aesthetic appeal. Someone is trying to get humanity mentally prepared for what may come.

I really don't like how they kill an entire planet of sentient beings in this movie, little kids and all, so casually, with _barely_ an acknowledgement.
@_FirstLast_
@_FirstLast_ 8 ай бұрын
It drives home the stark differences between the High Evolutionary and Thanos. Thanos didn't even try to kill the Avengers that were constantly in his way....he really, really, really held back on them multiple times....he literally let them all live after fighting them except Tony Stark (because he wouldn't stop getting back up, and only let him live because Dr. Strange traded the time stone for Tony's life) and Vision (because the stone was in his noggin). The High Evolutionary, on the other hand, had absolutely zero respect for ANY life at all. It was all beneath him and he never thought for a second to spare any of them for any reason other than experimentation. He literally mocked Rocket's pain when Lila was killed. Thanos never made it personal or played petty games, even after fighting the Avengers he only dusted 50% of them, when he easily could have deleted them all at any time of his choosing. You weren't suppose to like how he killed off an entire planet of sentient beings. That was the point. It was to reveal the canyon between your morals and the High Evolutionary's lack thereof. He also made it clear this wasn't the first entire planet of sentient beings he's razed, he wasn't the least bit bothered by it, and had plans to repeat the process until he saw fit (forever). Thanos at least had the morality to try to "help" life in his own way and even admitted that he was "the only one who knew how". He was aware he was a monster to most people, but like the parent that won't let their child fill up on cookies and candy before dinner...he was willing to be that monster for what he viewed as the "greater good". Whether or not we agree with him, we have to admit Thanos showed restraint (by not obliterating the Avengers on sight but rather lightly sparing with them in hopes they'd just stay down and not get back up), compassion (by being dispassionate and encouraging 50% of life to prosper), and genuine love (he could not get the soulstone without it, and cried knowing he would have to kill his most loved daughter to get it). The High Evolutionary showed no restraint, no compassion, and no love. His only goal was his own self-serving experiments in a fruitless and impossible quest for perfection. Thanos didn't even seek perfection, he just sought correction and "let the universe sort it out" which was actually really ignorant as the universe had already "sorted it out" to it's current state...and even after the snap the universe would eventually sort back to the same state as it was before the snap anyway. All Thanos would have possibly done with his snap is buy a little time before what was going to happen just happens anyway...the snap was ultimately futile and served no long term purpose. Not sure if that's just lazy writing or they purposely wrote him to be that incredibly intelligent and short-sighted and naive at the same time.
