This might be a case of TMI, but I was also diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 23 a year ago. Prior to it I was hoptialized and found out my pancrease was so screwed up that half of it was dead, and one year ago all of a sudden my blood sugar spiked up to 1200 and was in a coma for ten days. Being hoptialized prior to it screwed me up mentally, so this bombshell was hard to accept. One year later its still hard to adjust from living one way and all of a sudden you have to adjust your lifestyle otherwise you'll die, but I'm greatful to have family and friends who have gone out of their way to learn as much as they can in preparation of an energency and just type 1 diabetes in general; and since I got depression practically force me to do my insulin shots because for the longest time I was like "Whats the point? I'll never be the same person again, I gotta be dependant in this for the rest of my life."

Stress. I agree! Because I just found out I went from Type 2 to 1.5 and when I didn't stress.. ate right and work out My numbers goes down. Thank you for this interview and information guys.

I didn't think that was even possible. Eat good and Exercise. Stress plays a Major Role and Sleep does to. I had Insomnia when I first started taking Insulin but thanks to my Docs and good ole Mary Jane im back to sleeping good. It's alot of trial and error with Diabetes you just gotta find a routine that works for you. Body Maintenance and you can live a normal life like u don't even have it

A lot of my family have it and I was scared once when a doctor did a blood sugar fast test and it turned out I didn’t have it. 500-600? Oh my god, that’ll put you in a coma. My dad said his was like 400 when he first got diagnosed. Luckily it went down.

Ive been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have been told by my doctors that 1.) You can't get rid of diabetes, you can get it to a manageable level but you will always have it. 2.) Technically you can eat what you want but the important thing is limiting sugar and carb intake

Your doctors lied to you. The cure for type 2 is simply diet and weight loss. They don’t want people to know the truth because they are catering to big pharmaceutical companies. They rather have patients be stuck on meds for life instead of knowing the truth and it’s pretty sickening.

@@lookinass2332 eat right and control your weight exercise daily.Quit alcohol ,sweet drinks just drink water,quit meat,quit dairy,quit smoking and get on the plant based veg diet and also eat your fruits.You’ll be healthy within months.Doctors will take you off the meds if you stick to these things.And you will also feel healthy and like a brand new person.

I know it's weird to say but Im Grateful asf I have Type 2 Diabetes and not Type 1. I can't imagine how bad Type 1 is...Atleast I can survive without Insulin if sum crazy shit happened like the Government running out of Insulin like they said in next 10 years they gonna be a Insulin Shortage. I've already weaned off my Daily Humalog by eating good and exercise but I still take my Lancets Insulin shot before bed. Boosie, Halle Berry, Tom Hanks, Jay Cutler , Shawty Lo (R.I.P) and alot more Celebrities have Diabetes and look how good they doing. Halle Berry don't even take her Insulin anymore she just diets good and exercise and she still fine asf. Diabetes isn't a death Sentence. It is what u make it. Some people say fuck it and still eat shitty foods and eat sugar like crazy but wonder why they gotta get they feet and toes amputated. My Landlord is 80 years old and has had Diabetes since he was 40. If I take care of yourself you can live a normal life Rich or Poor

I dont believe that Halle Berry story. She mightve been misdiagnosed and really has Type 2 Diabetes and not 1. What you/she explained is IMPOSSIBLE with type 1. Its usually genetic also, especially since you usually get it as a kid/young adult.

Type 2 isn't as hereditary as Type 1. Your more likely to get it if he was type 1. If you eat good and take care of your body you shouldn't get it from your Dad. Type 2 is brought on by a poor diet and not taking care of yourself. Type 1 it most likely runs in the family. Im Type 2 and the only one in my Family to have Diabetes and the Doctor said it's only a 6 percent chance I will pass it on to my kids. Lil Boosie has Type 2 and 8 kids and none of his kids have it.

I've gotten.as low as 40 and as high as 780(almost died) Now that I eat right and exercise I stay around 120 and weaned off my daily Insulin and only take my shot before bed. Listen to your body not Doctors most of the time...but damn bro.600 and u doing an Interview? I'd be shaking and throwing up and drinking hella water pissing every 10 minutes...but that's the thing wit Diabetes.everybody's body reacts different. Start eating more vegetables and stay hydrated bro. Wish u nothing but the best G and sorry for the paragraph I just like when rappers talk.about it instead of hiding it
