Thank you so much! I was born in Guernsey in 1962. Can tell you: there was a hell of lot more life in the island back then than there is now!

I was in Guernsey in late sixties the video just as I remember Guernsey beatiful island so many great memories

👍 Thank you 😊 Don't know why this turned up in my suggestions in 2022, Born in 1965, maybe rose tinted glasses, but life seemed so much better back then, despite the lack of ease and usefulness of Wi-Fi and Internet

An oasis given what large parts of the UK have become. I don't think most Guerns realise this.

Happy times. Staying with my grans best friend up hautville swimming and walking good bus service then.every morning down to the states dairy for a milk shake 2 ladies in white smocks. Then over to herm to swim at shell beach.and condor queen over to st malo those were the days

A young widow, my grandmother came to the US from Guernsey in 1920 to be with some family that had already come across. She returned once in 1962....this is what she must've have seen. I heard so many wonderful stories of this place as a child. I think she missed it very much, she always referred to it as "home".

The channel islands are all beautiful remember the TV serie bergerac that was filmed in Jersey 🇯🇪 and Elizabeth Beresford the creator of the wombles lived in alderney so did cricket 🏏 player Ian Botham and Jullie Andrews lived a while on alderney to

Guernsey, my love island is a bit like our Milky Way Galaxy, a universe island floating in the immensity of the ocean. Like our own Galaxy in space...

Hi I have a collection of old cine film of the channel islands theres Guernsey and Sark in 1970s I believe and other stuff, ive never watched it as I bought with other stuff there is a Hanimex Dual Eight 904 also. if interested???
