Challenge yourself and your friends in this music quiz. 90 video games from easy to hard. Various platforms and genres. 15 seconds to guess.
Can you guess all of them?
You only need to guess the name of the game. When you don't know the exact name of the game, guess the franchise at least (not everyone knows all the parts of Zelda).

I didn’t really learn anything new. If I knew the song I instantly recognized it and could name what it’s from in 1-2 seconds. If I never played the game or never heard the song, I might be able to guess what the game was like 1 out of 10 chance (like I did with God of War).

@@grimsleeper5945 Yeah I still have to play it and all the other Elder Scrolls games. There are still so many games I haven't played. I grew up with only the wii then wii u and switch. I bought a ps4 pro in 2017 and till then I played a lot of third party games and also Sony first party games because I only knew Nintendo games as a kid and teenager.

Basically doom is cyberpunk, or has cyberpunk elements (demons with implants like cyberdemon and spider master mind), but the music is more metal :)

I'm surprised Yakuza was here. I immediately screamed in my head, "Yakuza!". I fell in love with the series so quickly, and songs like Baka Mitai and Judgment became some of my most favorite karaoke songs in the series. Everyone knows Yakuza, but it never gets the amount of appreciation it truly deserves

Correction on Guile's Theme at 9:50, neither Isao Abe nor Syun Nishigaki composed it (Syun Nishigaki didn't even work on the game in the first place), the song was composed by Yoko Shimomura.

I have to give you respect my man for putting Promise, Reprise and Lisa's Theme here. Didn't expect that, but surely gave me emotions when I've heard the first note. Sleeping Dogs & God Shattering Star also a surprise appearance since not many knew those two. Sleeping Dogs more especially.

It's a music quiz. The point of the video is more listening than anything else. If you wanted to watch something, you could've clicked on literally anything else on the platform. Alternatively, you could also submit your own 40 min compilation of 15 second clips and painstakingly edit them into a video that's supposed to be heard more than watched.

I'm in the same situation. Child of the 80s. I hardly played any nintendo games, I started on PC DOS games like wolfenstein 3D and prince of persia on floppies lol. But I've been collecting game soundtracks since 2000 and it's my hobby :)

To be fair the link between worlds over world theme is also Hyrule fields theme in other Zelda games and technically the Pokemon red Blue and green opening is the same as green only came out in Japan us in the west got blue

Great compilation of game music! Something I really like about these kinds of videos is they show how sound quality changed as technology advanced. We went from (for example) quirky 8bit tunes to EAX, openAL etc. Now we get games with music that's at the level of movie and trailer music. Battlefield 1942, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 are some of my favorites. 👍

Hell march as a medium song? Not even half a second and there's no guessing what it is, it's the most iconic song in the entire franchise lol. Shoutout to the heroes 3 battle music, solid choice.

Imagine being Georges Bizet. A french composer of immense talent, trying to survive by writing operas. Your opera Carmen becomes a huge success and is one of the most played operas of all time. Even when people stop watching operas, your overture is still world famous, played millions of times on various media. And then one day some guy creating a game about animatronic killer animals copies your music. That's fine, you've been dead for over a century, the music is public domain. Then someone credits the random guy from the videogame for your hard work. Bizet is probably rotating in his grave.

I understand what you mean, but in this quiz you only have to guess the name of the game. The fact that composer is used here instead of video game is a bit over the top. I listed the composers only as a bonus, and I listed the composers of the given game, not the original composers, who are historically the first originators of the given composition. This belongs in the history of music education and not a simple music quiz about stupid video games.

I didn't even play Splatoon 1, and I was able to guess the calamari incantation within two seconds of hearing it. Lmfao! That is one of my favorite songs from the entire franchise
