@@toxigenic actually, no it's still fkn terrible! My idiot midwife tried to pull my placenta by the cord, and the cord snapped and placenta wouldn't come out so the doctor went all in to get it.

Time Bandit Syphilis was my first thought too. Necrotizing fasciitis was my second guess, possibly as a complication of syphilis, but if this man died in the 1800s, syphilis is most likely the root cause.

She seems very grounded as a person which belies her deep weirdness there's no other way to put it. She's an odd bird. If I like it I guess that makes me one too. I'm totally hooked on this stuff. Mike is totally enjoying this.

Just to clarify, it was a tool (usually) male Drs. used to to ram up women's privates. The women didn't choose to do it to themselves .

The Wax model may be a representation of Phossy Jaw. Lower jaw becomes necrotic and and the cheeks around it too. White phosphorus poisoning.

A jawbone excised from a patient ca. 1899-1900 is in a museum and still glows in the dark today! And radium poisoning is similar! The famous playboy and althete who poisoned himself drinking Radithor has his jaw rot and fall off, and holes rot in his skull. They buried him in a lead lined coffin, 30 years later they exhumed him and he was still dangerously hot! And don't forget the Radium Girls of WW2! They were poisoned by the Radium they painted on dials and hands working in instrumentation factories. Now we have "pop corn" lung......

Reminds me of the photos of skull of the teenage girl with syphillis they found in ancient Rome. Remember there was a whole article about it because the earliest prior case was in 1700s, if I remember right. The face was partially eaten away just like that.

Ack!! Omgeeeze!! My uterus had to be removed due to cancer 26 years ago, but I swear it just screamed, lol. (Absolutely cracked me up that Mike jumped so hard that he apparently set off somebody’s car alarm at the sight of that head though! 😂🤣😂) Uh, I’m going to say the head on the desk there suffered from syphilis. Just a guess 🤷🏻♀️
