Hi friends! In today’s video I did a guest room refresh using primarily thrifted home decor. This room has been such a challenge for me to really fall in love with, but I think I may have finally done it. 😄

Looks beautiful! I actually really love the mix of patterns- it gives it a very cozy collected feel. Another way you could style the vintage books on the shelf above the bed, is to tilt some of them against other ones so it gives a little bit of height. I thought hanging art might be better when you were explaining your thought process, but then once you styled it I think it came together nicely. I feel like you can switch it up way more too vs. just hanging art above the bed.

It love it! I'm one for less patterns myself but I really like what you've done in the guest room. It's warm, cozy and inviting. And the floor lamp is perfect there!

I would have went with what looked best with the next biggest decor thing in the room which is the rug! love all the patterns. The head board looks amazing .The night stands would have looked good with a color / shade of green.

Definitely not too many patterns. I personally think there's too many books on the shelf. Put some on the dresser and use under some of your decor there. The shelf needs some greenery to bring that room to a live, it could be fake! Then it would be perfect! Great job and amazing work covering the headboard! 👍👏🤍

I love it. One small thought - I would face the spine of the book the wicker lamp is on so that it is facing the door. Call It Home would be cute as you walk in the room and the spine matches your colors perfectly.

I’m ready to stay. My husband is sick and he’s coughing all the time. And I’m tired of listening to him. I told him to go to the doctor last week. And he keeps putting it off. I like the stripe fabric. I’m glad you picked it. I would love to make a headboard for my guest bedroom. But the bed is front of the window. So it can’t be too high. I love your guest room. There aren’t too many patterns. It’s just right.

The headboard fabric was a good choice, I'd like to sew what the nightstands looks like an a complimentary color instead of white.

I think it looks awesome! Very pretty, love the headboard & the fabric you chose. All the patterns work so well together. Also love how you styled everything. My least favorite thing to do is paint a room!!!! I hate it so much and envy people who seem to do it without blinking an eye. Love the headboard concept. I just love a taller one for more impact, so would have added a few inches to the legs. Just my preference. I love the mixed pattern and textures on the bed. The wicker floor lamp and dresser lamp are the perfect additions to the space.

It’s really pretty. You did so well mixing different patterns. ❤ I’ve been looking for a solution to replacing the headboard to my bed which broke and was taken off. You make the DIY look easy and possible. I think I’m going to try this myself 😊 As for chores I hate doing, I actually hate taking down curtains to wash and put back up again. It doesn’t take long, but something about it is just horrible. I love freshly washed curtains though

Thank you!! The headboard really is an easy DIY, and you can pick any fabric to get the look you want. Just remember to pull it tightly! Taking them down and putting them back up is such a pain, I totally get it!
