The series "DEVS" was definitely a spiritual experience, moving and intimate, very introspective, with great performances.

Kes and 28 Years Later is such a exciting idea isn’t it? Also it’s wonderful to find out that Garland’s love of dreamlike filmmaking comes in part from renting Phantasm as a kid. The post office he mentioned renting from as a kid is such a great detail.

Always respected this guy for realizing the potential of video games way before the rest of Hollywood.

I love his screen play for DMC... Shit is so funny and cool. Sadly a lot of fans of the series hate it. Which is ironic because dmc5 was clearly inspired by it.

@@josephmorales652 he wasn't the main writer on it, just a consultant but that game looks fucking wild and I recently got into the other DMC gams so I gotta try it out.

Me & my mom loved the Day Of The Triffids. She hated horror movies, but enjoyed that one. Phantasm is pure art...

a furiously intelligent writer, who frustratingly doesn't get the recognition he deserves even to this day. his projects are multi layered that often require a second introspection & observation. from 28 Days Later, Sunshine, Dredd to Civil War, that many at first glance disregard, unfortunately

as a sometimes creative writer, I felt the exact same about Anatomy of a Fall. I just sat there at the end going "someone wrote that. someone WROTE that. how?!"

Sunshine seems like a cross between Clark Ashton Smith's Phoenix and Samuel Delany's Ballad of Beta-2. I wish sci-fi authors would be credited for all their ideas that get lifted for big budget films.
