that is also a perk of being older and being longer in the industry. she has a fixed fanbase with mature fans and her personality is quite known already. it's actually weird to call her idol anymore even if apink is still active. unlike younger idols who need to be painfully aware of what they say as their fans are more fickle and it could be seen as impertinent and rude (in short, hierarchy)

Yeah totally. They invite fun people like idols onto the show, but in reality every person sitting on those seats sees the depth of the situation, even youngsters like Wonyoung (although granted, she’s pretty smart and has a stable head on her shoulders for a kid her age) The show has subjects that are far too serious and far more illegal and require much more help than putting it up to the job of of, primarily, idols, and a few comedians, no matter how badly they want to help. I feel it’s more the fault people who created the show, you can’t mix TV personal and problems that clash with the law, it puts pressure and strain on everyone and a lot of the time it never ends up resolved

Of course because he is an employee in korea for several years before korean pd cast him for abnormal summit which leads him to a broadcaster till now...he still not a celebrity in korean as he has his own job as well there

I agree, but we been knew with shows like this. The hosts aren't real counselors but more comedics. It's an entertainment show after all, but that doesn't excuse the way they treat him :( I felt so bad when they were laughing about something and he was just sitting there like '...'

I think the saddest thing is that they know he feels bad but still continue to laugh at the problem. This happens a lot on this show. I always get the feeling that many concerns are ignored and definitely not dealt with properly...

Well to be fair it's pretty obvious that they have strong family values, and they do sincerely care for him. His mother died shortly after his birth and the sisters may have felt burden with the task to take better care of him because he won't grow up with a mother figure. Clearly they were still immature at the time and weren't the best for the job and it kind of stayed that way all throughout his lifetime, so it's kind of having a mean sister who's taking the position as your mother. They mean well, but in turn they did ruin him, so I do empathize for him, but I do see where his sister's are coming from and it's unfortunate they can't disassociate themselves from being the older sibling when trying to be motherly.

Okay, I made sure to watch the whole concern before responding to these comments - and I'm glad I did. Look, maybe in the West it's the normal thing to do to just cut people off and be a general bitch to the people you feel who've wronged you, and trust me, I do agree that there are situations when those are appropriate responses - but the way these people talked to each other in the end (with respect and sounding like the message got across to each other) is how people, especially family, should be able to resolve their issues. Being on common ground and with dignity. The hosts shared to the sisters how they should balance themselves in their treatment of their brother, and that snooping on his phone is something they definitely shouldn't do. They also told the brother to carry himself better so his sisters won't look at him like a child. I fail to see what's wrong with how they ended up resolving the whole thing, because at the end of the day, while the sisters didn't necessarily come out and bawl about everything they did wrong, they at least seemed as if the message got across to them and will try to do better. Maybe if things get worse, then he can try more drastic measures - but the way you people sound is just toxic as hell and I hope you don't have kids to pass those kinds of values to. They *will* bite you in the ass. And guess what, a lot of people come out of this show actually feeling like it helped them. Just because you don't understand it from your cultural bubble doesn't mean it doesn't work. It's not a perfect system, and they aren't always going to get it right, but getting it right most of the time is better than not helping anybody at all. Yes, there were times when the hosts made light of some of the situations - but that's the balancing act, to keep the show entertaining whilst also giving sound advice. And come on, are we really going to pretend that some of the things they shared weren't absurd? If everyone just kept themselves grave about the whole thing, nothing would get fixed because everyone would just be too bummed out to be in a resolutional mindset. "Yeah they are family - so what?" Spoken like a true Westerner. People keep wondering why people are becoming so unhappy and yet fail to acknowledge that their values have gone down the shitter. You hate that the hosts "trivialized" the whole thing and yet you trivialize their culture as a whole - that's just hypocrisy. Running away/shutting out your problems =/= fixing them.

@@kyriealisonsantos6236 it's one thing to have a toxic family, which definitely exist, and another thing to have flawed family members that are willing to do better. PEOPLE OUGHT TO WANT TO BE BETTER. That's all it is at the end of the day.
