@@biggusdickus1689 When you recorded stuff on a vcr, you sometimes got that horizontal line of video distortion during playback. Every VCR had a tracking knob you could turn to make the line go away. I don’t even know what the knob did but most of the time it worked

Generally tape quality degrades over time, but you also need to consider the fact that this video didn't seem to have the tracking adjusted. And then you have to factor in the source quality. This is not the original source, it was broadcast over the air then recorded to cassette. It was most likely recorded with a cheap coaxial cable and there's no guarantee that the signal quality was any good at the time of the broadcast. Then you have to factor in how this was converted to digital and in what format and what kind of cables as well. It could also have been compressed more than an ideal amount. KZfaq can perform additional compression that doesn't always work well with analog video. But I assure you, with cable TV instead of broadcast and a decent TV, this show looked pretty good when it first aired.

@@stripedpants1668 yeah, except Trump and the right proved all the paranoia to be correct, because they literally attempted an insurrection. I voted for Trump twice, was a big Ben Shapiro listener for years, but once Ben started pushing Trump's conspiracies after losing, I was out. Then I discovered he really was racist, because his novel shows how much he clearly hates Arabs, black people and Mexicans. I'm not on the left at all, because around 40% of what Ben Shapiro criticized them over, I've always agreed with, but the sad reality is that the right went off the rails waaaaaay more than the left did when Hillary lost. In all honesty, we need rid of the people at the very top of both parties, but they'll just be replaced with more con artists, and even if the GOP & Democrats get entirely voted out for 3rd parties, they'll be replaced with more of the same
