Great video. Always appreciate the discussion of Theism and Naturalism at a high level and we were impressed to see Fr. Bonaventure reference some of the developments in the analytic philosophy of religion from people like Swinburne, Plantinga, Leftow, and co. On a related note, it is true that in philosophy, almost every metaphysical program is going to have some "weirdness" involved, but the goal (at least for many analytic metaphysicians) is to balance out that weirdness, by minimizing our commitment to "weird" things, while maximizing our explanatory power. While Modal Realism (the view that all possible worlds are actual) that Fr. Bonaventure references is a contender, a lot of Naturalists today prefer leaner metaphysical programs. For example, Graham Oppy, the leading defender of Atheism today, has stated his preference for a more reductive modal metaphysics where all possible worlds are constrained by a necessary initial state in the actual world. As he has argued in several publications such as _Cosmological Arguments_ , _Ultimate Naturalistic Causal Explanations_ , _The Best Argument Against God_ , etc, such a view of modality is quite effective at responding to most types of Cosmological Reasoning put forward by Theists.

Based on Karl Rahner's premise of the Incarnation as the center of All History(even natural), every natural thing would necessarily point in its full development to It, not only Greek Philosophy but even Taoism, Buddhism and AI. Christus Regnat Now if it is better to develop everything, as says modernism, or to instead focus on the preaching of the Singularity of the Gospel, it is a question. Anyway it is clear that to preach the inevitability of the Truth, Goodness, God, is Charitable.

It does make me sad that people have to plow through 265 pages to wash up gently on the shores of the Divine Simplity. As people know, the stack of books is high, but the time is limited. May the Holy Spirit guide the choice of the next book…. On a side note, I am listening along to “The Confessions” podcast. (I prefer not to be part of comments on Facebook.) I agree with Father Gregory, Augustine at 28 years should have made some space between his mother and his family. Matthew 19:5 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?” Additionally, rarely are things more intractable than a mother finding her son’s wife/partner/girlfriend worthy of her son.

Pat Flynn is a genius, he's inspiring. But I must say his new huge beard is rediculusly distracting.
